In this role, you will be engaging with our customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform. These applications help companies drive digital transformation and competitive differentiation. Your primary responsibility will be to help lead projects and work throughout the entire project life-cycle to define, design, develop and implement custom software solutions using Appian's low-code platform for our commercial clients. This includes working within an agile environment to understand our client's business processes and technical needs, launch new relational data models in production, developing APIs to integrate with multiple systems, and leading/mentoring consultants through fast-paced software implementations. You will also collaborate with client's technical teams and business users as needed throughout the entire software and development life cycle and drive adoption by empowering clients to become self-sufficient with building process applications on their own.

This role is based at Appian's Headquarters in McLean, VA. If you are not already located in the surrounding McLean, VA area, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for this position. To be successful in this role, you need:

  • Passion for mentoring/developing others and experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementation
  • Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, passion for technology and continuous learning, and affinity for asking "why" and solving the right problems
  • History of success on cross-functional teams; experience building products using agile methodologies (pair programming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints)

Basic qualifications:

  • An Active Government Clearance (Top Secret and above, without any limitations) is required for this opening
  • Ability and interest to maintain an Active TS:SCI Clearance (CI or FLS), with the ability and willingness to perform work within cleared facilities (SCIF work is required)

Software Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives. **_Qualifications_**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferred
+ 12+ years' experience in SAP OTC Build/Run preferred
+ Full-Cycle SAP OTC implementation
+ SAP OTC Solution discovery, Options analysis and Build guidance.
+ Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
+ Strong business acumen in pharmaceutical wholesale distribution space.
+ Superior knowledge of processes and technology with deep hands-on knowledge in all the areas of OTC domain.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project management services and technical expertise within our Government Solutions team to support our clients.   • Develop technical scopes of work and approaches for projects that require the design, development, integration and implementation of custom software solutions, commercial-off-the-shelf applications, or enhancements to existing software solutions in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs)

  • Responsible for understanding and documenting high-level business requirements for specific transportation, airport, water/wastewater, environment and natural resource, facility, and public safety business problems that require a software solution

  • Work with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into functional requirements and specifications

  • Document business processes and identify effective solutions as part of a project team

  • Prepare presentations and participate in project interviews

  • Prepare and update project management plans

  • Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

  • Prepare estimates of hours and cost to perform the required services with the assistance of the project team

  • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project

  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and meeting minutes

  • Review and validate invoices

Required Skills
