This bonus-eligible position involves performing a variety of press brake operations, typically on steel, aluminum, or stainless-steel plates. This role offers opportunities to work either the Day Shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) or the Swing Shift (2:15 PM to 10:45 PM), from Monday through Friday.
**Responsibilities**
+ Select multi-purpose and general-purpose brake dies and punches.
+ Set dies and punches, stops, and adjust ram for varying plate thickness.
+ Plan the sequence of multiple pass operations for a series of bends and other fabricating operations on complicated sections, making all allowances for parts fitting together at welding and convenience in assembly, as required.
+ Perform periodic preventive maintenance.
+ Instruct and direct less experienced operators when necessary.
+ Follow established safety protocols, including the use of PPE, to help maintain a safe working environment.
+ Keep the work area clean and organized.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to develop press brake setups, bend sequencing, and assign tooling for new or revised products.
+ Basic math and measurement skills.
+ Strong blueprint reading skills.
+ Ability to identify different types of materials.
