Full supervisory responsibility of others.
- Oversees all inspections, repairs, and component changes and ensures the accompanying documentation are accomplished in accordance with the manufacturer or FAA approved procedures, conforming to quality control standards, on schedule, and in compliance with FAA regulations. Plans and prepares maintenance and repair estimates, determines scope of work, schedules, and assigns qualified personnel based on skill levels.
- Ensures maintenance methods, procedures, and documentation are in compliance, through subordinate staff, with applicable Federal Aviation Administration approved procedures or accepted industry best practices, as applicable. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and university regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, work standards, quality, safety, health, environmental, and personnel management.
- Develop and oversee the maintenance department's budget. Assess and purchase equipment, software, and tools needed for maintenance tasks. Negotiate with vendors and manufacturers for parts, services, and aircraft acquisitions.
- Establish and enforce safety standards and quality control procedures. Conduct internal audits and participate in FAA inspections and audits. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Responsible for the aircraft, tooling, equipment, materials, inventory, and activities within the hangar(s) and on the adjacent ramp(s) for all department personnel. Evaluates new equipment, software, tooling, or other technologies to enhance the quality of the maintenance program.
- Maintains all necessary records and logbooks, including certification in the aircraft permanent maintenance records that the aircraft is approved and returned to service.
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship between the aircraft maintenance operation and customers, vendors, service providers, and federal, state, and university regulatory agencies.

This position reports jointly to the Assistant Vice President of Philanthropy and the Dean of the College of Agriculture.
The nature of this role is highly externally focused, requiring frequent travel and meetings on and off campus during regular and non-traditional business hours, and is therefore expected to operate with high-levels of autonomy. Essential Functions Your Responsibilities as the Director of Development:
- Purpose: Drive fundraising success by cultivating a personal portfolio of prospects and traveling to secure major gifts, you will ensure the college meets its fundraising goals and objectives. By keeping track of monthly gift and pledge totals, you will guide your team to develop personalize strategies that lead to successful gift closures.
- Collaboration : As a team leader, you will create a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered. Lead the staff by setting clear expectations and goals to ensure continuous growth and excellence. Partnering closely with the Dean, you will leverage their strengths to maximize fundraising efforts, while building professional relationships with key volunteer groups to align their work with our goals.

SUMMARY:
This position has shared responsibility for all aspects of a FAA 145 Repair Station Quality Management System including but not limited to: Airworthy assessments of all incoming and outgoing materials; Full FAA, organizational and subcontractor compliance with all regulations, specifications, documentation and airworthiness directives and development, execution and oversight of audit and surveillance inspection and corrective action processes. This position reports to the Vice President of Maintenance Operations through the Director of Quality Assurance. The position is highly visible and responsible for decision making that may have a significant impact on the organizations earnings, operations and reputation.
ESSENTIAL SHARED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, direct and coach all personnel assigned to the Quality Assurance and Inspection Departments.
- Direct, plan and lay out details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures to comply with all applicable Civil Aviation Regulations and manufacturers recommendations.
- Maintain a current file of all pertinent internal and external regulations, specifications and airworthiness directives.
- Secure and maintain technical data on all units returned to service by the Repair Station.
- Ensure Audit/Surveillance Program, both internal and external, is accomplished as an ongoing process and discrepancies and corrective actions are documented and resolved.
- Ensure defective or non-airworthy parts are not installed in any component or unit released by the Repair Station.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of required documents and of all materials to specifications.
- Submit proper service difficulty reports in accordance with FAR 145.221.
- Oversee inspection associated with the repair cycle including final outgoing inspection.
- Oversee final incoming inspection of all materials used by the Repair Station.
- Oversee calibration of tool and test equipment program.
- Oversee initial and recurrent training of all assigned personnel.
- Ensures personnel adhere to all safety and security policies and regulations.
- Report to work on a regular and consistent basis.
