Leadership Development Program Overview
The Polaris D& IT Leadership Development Program (ITDP) accelerates career development for recent college graduates who wish to further develop core business, leadership, and IT competencies. Our unique two-year development program allows you the opportunity to work in roles within IT to build a solid business foundation and gain leadership and field experience.
Through your IT rotations, you will be given challenging assignments to accelerate your career development for future positions of significant responsibility. The variety of work gives you an introduction to what working at Polaris is all about and helps you decide where you can best apply your interests to meet the company's needs. During this program, you will also establish mentor relationships with our business leadership that will continue throughout your career with Polaris. Polaris provides the resources, support, and environment you need to achieve both personal and professional success in this role.
Program Length: 2 Years
Rotation Length: 6 Months (4x)
Placement Locations could Include : Many ITDPs are based out of our corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, but could also include Osceola, WI, Roseau, MN, Spirit Lake, IA, Huntsville, AL, Wyoming, MN, Battle Ground, WA, Wilmington, OH, & Vermillion, SD
As a Predictive Data Science ITDP, you will create recommendations for complex business decisions using a wide variety of data science techniques-from exploratory data analysis to predictive analytics. In this track, you will develop advanced end-to-end analytics and technology solutions that drive value for Polaris and its customers.
You will interact with:

- Data Science
Upon completion of the program, you will transition into a full-time IT-related position within the business, contingent on business needs and the skills and experience you demonstrate during the program.

Your graduation date will determine your start date, either in January or June. The Early Talent Team will guide you through the matching process and assist you in completing a Brand Slide. The Brand Slide, tailored to your specific program, provides insights to the team and assists in identifying the most suitable rotation aligned with your strengths, areas for development, interests, and business needs. Placements are finalized in late October for January starts and in mid-April for June starts each year.
DP Relocation Assistance:
Polaris offers a relocation program through our mobility vendor for employees who qualify. Benefits include a lump sum payment, self-haul moving package, lease cancellation/duplicate housing reimbursement, and access to a relocation counselor. The counselor will explain available resources and assist in securing short-term housing. You will be responsible for daily transportation to and from the office.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field with a graduation date between August 2025 and June 2026.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Must be able to commit to working 40 hours per week starting on one of the following dates:
- January 12th, 2026.
- June 15th, 2026.
- January 12th, 2026.
- Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
- Must be willing to travel and relocate between sites for your rotations, as well as be mobile beyond the rotational program to support your career development.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $77,500 to $88,500 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Work alongside Data Scientists to design, build, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms. You’ll contribute to production-ready solutions that enhance business performance and customer experience.

The Medical Director works with the DRG Integrity Specialist to confirm the principal diagnosis and the appropriate Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) of every case in compliance with coding guidelines. This process also involves the Medical Director confirming procedures, dates, and complication or comorbidity (CC) or major complication or comorbidity (MCC) when used as a secondary diagnosis.
The Medical Director validates clinical indicators for coded diagnoses, capturing the patient's condition and ensuring the accuracy of the severity of illness and risk of mortality for the patient to illustrate the true clinical picture of the episode of care.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clinical leadership in an inter-disciplinary team in a professional, knowledgeable, and efficient manner to drive client results, exceed client expectations, and foster client confidence
- Maintain a functional and collaborative relationship with the DRG Integrity Specialist to achieve shared company goals
- Comply with medical and federal guidelines at all times
- Resolve conflicts quickly and professionally
- Stays up to date with medical guidelines, advancements within his or her field, and client-specific criteria
- Responsible for the quality of their teams work by developing and implementing strategic goals related to quality improvement within the tower
- Responsible for generating compliant queries based on appropriate clinical indicators for each diagnosis. Every query must meet all regulatory and reporting requirements
- Work with their manager to review tower analytics, identifying trends and actionable steps to improve opportunity capture rate and drive results for clients
- Work with Senior Management and Compliance Officer to adhere to organizational goals and mission
- Participate in corporate educational activities
- Utilize all technology, tools and resources to enhance performance and will be proficient in navigation of various electronic medical records
- Excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Exceed expectations in performance with regard to productivity and quality of his/her tower work, professionalism, and professional growth
