The entities involved with normal informal and formal projects will still be involved, but these projects will also require extensive, special documentation so that requests for reimbursement are approved in a timely manner by the applicable agency (FHWA, FEMA, NC DOI). The position will be supported by in-house Marine Maintenance Unit staff as well as external engineering firms as needed. This position may also be required to prepare SITREP updates of projects or operation status during a severe weather event and may also be responsible for updating the Severe Weather Response document. The position will be required to learn, in detail, FEMA funding eligibility requirements and document process.
