As a Display Electrical Design Engineer, you will drive projects, from concept phase, all the way through engineering builds, and into volume manufacturing. You will work with internal and external teams to ensure a coherent end-to-end solution that challenges the status quo.
**Description**
As a Display Electrical Design Engineer, you will drive display module electrical design requirements for new product introduction, from concept level and initial prototypes to mass production. You will contribute to the overall module architecture including custom silicon requirements and IPs, define validation plans, and manage our vendors to ensure we produce high quality products. You will work together with a world-class cross-functional team to designing exciting new products using state-of-the-art display technology that pushes the envelope of what is possible.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
+ Experience with PCB design including component selection, schematic capture, and layout
+ Experience using circuit simulation tools such as HSPICE or Spectre
+ Experience with prototype IC or PCB bring-up, validation, and failure analysis
+ Experience with coding or scripting with Python, Matlab, or similar tools
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with module or system design and architecture focused on defining detailed electrical specs to meet high level requirements
+ Experience working with cross functional teams on multi-disciplinary HW designs (HW, FW, SW, Mechanical/Thermal, Optical)
+ Experience in one or more of: power (DC-DC converters, power management, low power design), analog and mixed-signal circuit design
+ Experience in display technology, such as LCD, OLED, DLP, LCOS, e-paper
+ Experience with PCB simulations for PDN, SI/PI/crosstalk, and EMI/EMC
+ Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

The display silicon applications team develops a deep understanding of the performance and capabilities of our portfolio of custom silicon to enable new display features, capabilities and products as well as prototypes of new display technologies. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a hands-on developer with a broad skillset who is willing to cover a range of roles and responsibilities related to FPGA, Modeling and Silicon Architecture and Usage.
**Description**
- Work with multi-functional teams to converge on display silicon functionality
- Use existing silicon and design FPGAs to prototype new display features or technology
- Specify Silicon Requirements and microarchitecture
- Work with vendors and other teams to deliver quality silicon and resolve any issues
- Support validation, generate and optimize silicon configurations
- Propose new features, capabilities, and performance requirements for new custom silicon
- Support teams using FPGA platforms, ASICs, and models.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering minimum with 5 years of relevant industry experience in EE, Silicon, or FPGA designs or applications
+ Experience with Digital Architecture, RTL Coding, Implementation, Verification, Debugging and Deployment
+ Experience with serial interfaces like SPI, I2C and high speed serdes IPs.
+ Experience with Scripting and Automation (e.g. Python)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master's degree in Electrical Engineer with 3 years of relevant industry experience
+ Experience with Silicon Architecture Modeling, and developing Silicon Chip level specs
+ Complete Chip Lifecycle experience
+ Knowledge of Board design, ability to specify requirements and review PCBs
