The Distribution Assistant is responsible for order selection and loading products to be shipped from our facilities; shipping and receiving inbound and outbound deliveries; maintaining inventory and quality control throughout the shipping and receiving process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Order Selection and Loading
- Select and stage the correct product item number, quantities, and shelf life for shipment.
- Inspect product quality while selecting orders. Only pack products that meet quality standards. Isolate and report products with quality defects.
- Securely pack products on pallets or carts, shrink wrapping and labelling as needed.
- Move product to/from storage and loading dock for shipping and receiving.
- Accurately record product information on paperwork and enter into ERP systems.
- Using material handling equipment or by hand, move products, materials and supplies between storage areas and loading dock to be loaded/unloaded.
- Load/unload, inspect and put away shipments of materials and supplies.
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality defects, like damage, incorrect item numbers, or quantities.
- Stock, organize and consolidate storage space, as needed.
- Rotate inventory by item number, lot code, and shelf life.
- Support periodic company inventory by counting products, materials, and supplies.
- The Distribution Assistant will be required to act as the back up driver if assistance with deliveries is needed.
- Other duties as assigned, which may include cleaning, general labor, and administrative tasks.
- Willing to drive a 20 plus foot truck, when needed

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Receive and stock automotive parts efficiently.
- Quickly read and determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed based on customer's order, shipping order, or requisition.
- Transport materials from receiving areas to designated storage or other areas.
- Sort and organize materials based on predetermined criteria such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assemble customer orders and place them on pallets, shelves, or convey them to packing or shipping departments.
- Mark materials with identifying information and open containers.

- Weigh or count items to ensure compliance with company standards.

We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate with skills in order selection, receiving, and inventory quality control to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate selection and quality of food products within our warehouse. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will be crucial in maintaining the high standards expected in our operations.
Responsibilities
- Select, pick, and pack food orders accurately and efficiently for distribution to our clients
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quality and quantities, and document any discrepancies
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, conducting regular quality control checks
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of products to minimize waste
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes and efficiency
- Experienced certified forklift operator
- Experience in food warehouse operations, including selecting, receiving, and inventory control
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work in a refrigerated cold environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklift and pallet jacks
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions (refrigerated environment)

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for daily customer order fulfillment activities within an assigned area(s) of a distribution facility. This position is responsible for demonstrating safety and operational expertise within a quality and productivity driven environment. This position will be required to proficiently perform at least one or more distribution-related activities (e.g. order filling, shipping, receiving) on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Perform one or more distribution-related functions that allow, as the business requires, assignment across various functions such as checking, picking, packing, replenishment, bin/bulk order fill, bin/bulk stocking, shipping, receiving/returns, sorting, or loading (as applicable to operation). Assignment to other functional tasks may be done on a daily or less than daily basis.

- Contribute to a safe work environment through continuous focus on housekeeping and safety.
- Demonstrate a commitment to our company's core values.
- Interact with supervisors, leads, and/or work groups with information exchanges related to immediate tasks.
- Participate in the implementation and contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous improvements to the distribution process in a group setting.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
- Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication)
- Basic computer skills (accessing and navigating the internet; familiar with the keyboard; opening, closing and saving documents)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds regularly, up to 150 pounds infrequently
- Ability to push, pull, grasp, and fine manipulation of equipment using hands is ongoing throughout the work hours
- Walking on uneven surfaces possible, though infrequently
- Basic level experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work a flexible schedule is a plus (start shift early and/or stay until the work is complete)
- Exhibited good job performance and behavior as measured through indicators such as teamwork, attendance, quality and productivity, etc.
- One (1) year previous related experience preferred
