ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assists in making of all size taps, types of joints and in repairing all types of broken mains, valves, meters, lines and hydrants.Installs water meters, service piping, valves and components associated with the water distribution system.Removes and/or replaces dirt, water, materials and/or debris from the work site.Reads, removes and replaces water meters.Handles and mixes bags of cement and maneuvers in a wheelbarrow.Performs routine tasks with hand tools (shovels, rakes, wrenches, trowels, etc.).Works on emergency repairs and services with minimal supervision.Performs light maintenance on tools and equipment.Responds to customer inquiries and investigates customer complaints associated with the water distribution system.Performs valve and hydrant maintenance.Performs flow test and record data.Obtains water samples.Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements to Perform Work High School diploma or equivalent;Six (6) months of experience in general maintenance and construction in a utility environment preferred;Must have and maintain a valid driver's license for South Carolina with safe driving record;Special Requirements: Must be able to obtain a valid Class B CDL within 6 months of employment;Must be able to obtain a Class D Water Distribution License within 24 Months of employment;Subject to 24 hour on-call status;Departmental testing may be administered during interview; A criminal background check will be completed on selected applicant if a current one (less than 3 years old) is not on file. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of sampling procedures and sample site locations for bacteriological testing.Knowledge of the use of pumps, compressors and other appropriate equipment.Knowledge of pipefitting skills, of water taps and new water line construction practices.Ability to operate utility vehicles, backhoe, mini excavators and related equipment.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.Ability write legible and descriptive reports on duties performed.Ability to deal with the public to include handling potential difficult customers and volatile situations.Ability to qualify physically for wearing self-contained breathing equipment.Ability to prepare purchase orders and determine benefits eligibility.Ability to use small office equipment, computers and highly technical computer applications.Ability to use or repair small, medium and heavy equipment and machinery. Physical Demands This position requires the employee to reach, pull and push with hands and arms; stand; and use hands to handle, feel, finger, grasp or operate objects, tools or controls; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use mental acuity and repetitive motion; and walk, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to ninety-five (95) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Work Conditions The work is regularly performed in a dynamic environment that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities and needs. Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Logistics and Distribution is responsible for overseeing the deployment of new software, technology, and process improvements related to high volume distribution operations. Responsibilities Supports the Director of Warehouse and Distribution with activities of the Warehouses and Distribution department. Supports timely and cost-effective receipt and delivery of products, materials, and other items in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Develops detailed project plans including scope, resources, timelines, and deliverables. Functions as the central point of contact, coordinating with various departments and stakeholders to ensure clear communication of objectives and timely execution of project tasks. Identifies potential risks to project implementation and develops mitigation strategies. Monitors new software, technology, and processes after deployment to resolve any issues or deficiencies and identify any opportunities for improvement. Supports the Director of Warehouse and Distribution with implementation of new or expanded customer order processing requirements. Coordinates with other departments to ensure all necessary information and tools are available to the Inventory Management/Distribution team, as well as resolving issues that may arise which affect the operational productivity of the department. Supports the Director of Warehouse and Distribution in capacity and resource planning for warehousing and distribution functions. Works with Supply Chain leadership to manage relationships with strategic distribution partners. Develops, measures, monitors, and communicates warehouse and distribution performance metrics (KPIs) to Leadership and uses those to manage the department and staff. Builds effective partnerships with department heads to help drive the business toward achieving company objectives. Ensures the proper maintenance of Warehouse and Distribution equipment and, if necessary, coordinates with maintenance for repairs. Actively participates in required training, development programs, and electives as suit one’s needs, and supports colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts. **Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Assistant Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the daily operations of all functions assigned by the Supply Chain Director within the facility. The Assistant Director will be assigned all supply chain responsibilities for selected campuses within the facility. The Assistant Director of Supply Chain Operations assists in integrating the department's services with the hospital's primary functions, develops/implements policies and procedures that guide or support service, assesses and improves department performance, and ensures orientation and continuing education of departmental staff as assigned. This person may recommend resources/space needed by the department and may participate in the selection of outside services with the Director of Supply Chain Operations. They serve as a key promoter of the Service Center, which strives to meet and exceed the needs of its customers.
**Major Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and manage all facility Supply Chain activities
+ Manage the profit and loss of the facility Supply Chain operations
+ Execute the infrastructure project plan for the facility. This includes the implementation of the standardization programs for all supply chain functions, SMART cleanup, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and EDI
+ Facilitate the implementation of market-based purchasing projects at the facility
+ Execute the implementation and operational plan for all of the point of use systems
+ Coordinate, manage, and evaluate facility Supply Chain personnel
+ Create a supportive environment for supply chain staff development and the delivery of supply chain solutions
+ Raise and resolve facility-based supply chain issues and improvement opportunities
+ Coordinate and drive efforts to enable supply improvement initiatives (SII) to succeed within the facility
+ Facilitate the standardization of products and optimize supply utilization through effective collaboration with Physicians and clinicians
+ Manage the facility implementation plan, identify and mitigate risks (leverage lessons learned, utilize proactive communication techniques), and monitor resource allocations to ensure successful execution of plan
+ Execute the Supply Chain Performance Measurement plan at the facility and report these results to the Director of Supply Chain Operations in an accurate and timely manner
+ Execute a continuous improvement program for supply chain functions
+ Ensure useful knowledge is captured and promote sharing of information
+ Recommends sufficient number of qualified/competent staff
+ Determines staff qualifications and competence. Develops and maintains accurate initial and annual competency checklists, and initiates completion of initial and annual competency attestation forms
+ Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care of the services delivered
+ Attends in-service presentations, and complete mandatory education weekly including, but not limited to, infection control, patient safety, quality improvements, MSDS and OSHA Standards
+ Demonstrates knowledge of occurrence reporting system and utilizes system to report potential patient safety issues
+ Is authorized to transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drug containing devices relative to core competencies of the position
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ Three years leadership experience preferred and/or AD program graduate- Preferred
