Job Description
The job of Special Ed Office Administrative Assistant (Bookkeeper) is done for the purpose/s of providing secretarial support to assigned personnel; communicating information to staff, the public, and other school systems; ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information and/or direction.
Responsibilities
- Serves as Administrative Assistant to SPED Director
- Processess student enrollment and transfers
- Schedules meetings
- Maintains student educational records and other student records as assigned
- Maintains staff leave and payroll records and other similar records as assigned
- Manages contracts and software renewals
- Assists SPED Director with budget, inputs purchase orders, prepares billing
- Prepares professional learning materials
- Communicates with stakeholders on various matters
- Supports assigned administrative personnel for the purpose of providing assistance with administrative functions.
- Other duties as assigned
- Efficeintly completes tasks and meets required timelines
- Communicates effectively and professionally with stakeholders
- Detail oriented with all student and staff records, and budget items
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and GoIEP
Terms of Employment: 232 days, 12 months
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; Clerical and/or bookkeeping experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree or course credits from a post-secondary institution; Two or more years clerical and/or bookkeeping experience in an educational setting
