Killingly Public Schools is proud to announce that, starting in the 2025-2026 school year, we will offer free Adult Education Programs for Connecticut residents aged 17 and older no longer enrolled in public school. Our Adult Education Program will provide:
- Adult Basic Education (ABE) - focuses on foundational skills like reading, writing, math, and language, often preparing adults for high school equivalency (GED) or further education, and sometimes including life skills and digital literacy.
- GED Preparation - GED classes prepare individuals for the General Educational Development tests, which are a series of four academic subject tests that can lead to a high school equivalency credential, covering subjects like language arts, math, science, and social studies.
- English Language Instruction - ESL (English as a Second Language) classes focus on teaching non-native English speakers the language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, along with cultural understanding, to facilitate effective communication in English-speaking environments.
- American Citizenship Preparation - classes focus on preparing adults to pass the American Citizenship Test. Focus on questions used by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and offer practice tests.
Killingly Public Schools is pleased to support current employees and teachers who meet the requirements for the endorsement. If selected for a position, the district will cover the cost of the endorsement application fee.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture: Design comprehensive, end-to-end solutions on OCI that align with client requirements. Ensure your designs prioritize scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives, technical needs, and constraints. Provide expert guidance on OCI's capabilities and best practices to help them achieve their goals.

Technical Leadership: Lead the technical design and implementation of OCI solutions, providing direction and mentorship to technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Cloud Migration: Assess existing on-premises or cloud-based infrastructure and applications. Develop comprehensive migration strategies and execute plans to seamlessly transition them to OCI.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC practices using tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of OCI resources, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,800 to $232,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
