Position Summary: The HSES Environmental Manager will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of environmental programs across the company's diverse operations. This role ensures the company's compliance with all environmental regulations, drives sustainability initiatives, and leads continuous improvement in environmental performance. The Program Manager works with all departments at the KAI sites and personnel to help create, modify and improve systems, processes, procedures. The Program Manager will supervise and mentor a team of environmental specialists collectively responsible for supporting operational units in achieving environmental compliance and excellence. Responsibilities: Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and programs across multiple domestic locations to ensure compliance with local, , and internal environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, TCEQ). Develop, lead, and participate in corporate-level environmental initiatives focused on reducing the company's energy usage, waste , and water usage. Identify opportunities for waste minimization, pollution prevention, and resource efficiency improvements. Monitor, track, and report environmental performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement and driving sustainability goals. Reporting information to agencies and internal domestic and international customers as requested. Develop the annual budget for the group and monitors costs. Conduct audits and inspections across KAI sites, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented. Oversee and manage a team of Environmental Specialists across multiple sites, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and career development. Assign responsibilities to the team and ensure consistent application of corporate environmental programs. Review and approve environmental assessments, reports, and audits prepared by team members. Develop risk management strategies related to environmental impacts, including emergency response planning for chemical spills, hazardous waste, and air emissions. Lead incident investigations related to environmental non-compliance or unplanned events, ensuring root causes are identified and preventive actions implemented. Collaborate with the Health & Safety teams to integrate environmental emergency protocols into the company's broader emergency response framework. Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees at all levels of the organization. Communicate environmental goals, initiatives, and program updates to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership. Lead initiatives with Kuraray Group companies to share best practices and implement common systems. Participate with external trade associations to influence and stay abreast of changes in environmental regulations and industry best practices. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Safety or Environmental discipline with 10 years of related experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading people or projects in a supervisory or lead role. Experience implementing HSE principles, concepts, theories and practices across a multi-site chemical manufacturing facility. Strong people management skills Ability to use influencing skills rather than authority to achieve targets. Demonstrated oral/written communication skills: presents information and ideas to individuals or groups in an articulate and organized way, appropriate to the audience, and under a wide range of communication situations. To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team. In this position, you will serve as the site's designated first aid provider in the warehouse, coordinating and implementing the Amazon Global Program. The WHS Manager will be responsible for partnering with an Operations Team at the site level to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local, regional and federal regulations. This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our associates. The Site WHS Manager must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and WHS data analysis.
The Site WHS Manager will be responsible to lead and develop a team of WHS professionals. This individual must create and execute leadership development plans for their teams. They must communicate team expectations and provide frequent feedback, and ensure the team is executing to the core competencies of an Amazon WHS professional.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal regulations and company policy.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS Policies.
- Measure site's performance against published requirements in WHS policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies. Drive accountability for the plan
- Analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the WHS risk is highest.
- Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliant equipment and/or processes at the site. Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury at other sites. Review all changes to ensure new equipment and process are compliant.
- Audit recordkeeping practices and Gensuite entries to ensure compliance to global WHS standards and regulations.
- Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent
- Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required WHS training.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts which could include day, nights, and weekends.
For those that do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, must obtain within 3 weeks of start date.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
- Master's degree
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
- Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization
- Certified Safety Professional

What You'll Do
In the role of Fire Safety Specialist, your duties will include:
+ Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.
+ Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.
+ Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
+ Inspect, repair or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.
+ Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment.
+ Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
+ Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.
+ Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedure.
+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required.
+ Performs all other duties as assigned.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Must have an active Secret clearance and be eligible for upgrade to TS/SCI with Poly level clearance.
+ Five (5+) years of experience in the installation of fire detection, alarm, control, and suppression systems.
+ Professional Engineer License or (NICET) Level III
+ Certified in Fire Protection Systems from a jurisdiction within the US and requisite experience (or equivalent and approved by the customer)
+ A willingness to work on-call to resolve equipment deficiencies impacting facility operation.
+ Ability to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
+ Ability and willingness to work in a challenging environment.

This key role supports both internal teams and external clients as part of APTIM's broader initiative to expand its consultancy services in EHS, Sustainability, and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) digital transformation.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience serving clients in oil and gas, power generation, and manufacturing sectors, with a strong track record in developing and managing air permitting documents--including Title V, New Source Review, and Permits by Rule--as well as compiling regulatory compliance reports such as annual emissions inventories and Title V, NSPS, and NESHAP reports. The candidate will also provide H&S domain expertise on client projects.
This individual will serve as a technical leader, trusted client advisor, and key contributor to the evolution of APTIM's environmental and ESG-focused service offerings.

ERM is hiring an on-site Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to support a key technology client’s data center in Lancaster, Texas .
The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting the implementation of OSHA requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, Job Hazard Analysis/ Risk Assessments, Emergency Response Plans, Behavioral Safety Programs, and Contractor Safety Management. Candidates should also have familiarity with data center safety requirements. This is a full-time (40 hours a week), limited-term role for a duration of 1 year, renewable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform health and safety assessments and inspections in accordance with corporate EHS programs and applicable regulations, including emergency response; chemical management; incident management; walking/working surfaces; powered industrial vehicles (i.e. powered pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.); mobile elevating work platforms; fall protection; crane safety; confined space safety; hot work; permit to work systems; personal protective equipment; tools & machinery; electrical safety; ergonomics; extreme working temperatures; laser safety.
- Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance and EHS management system projects on a range of areas such as chemical safety, machine guarding, laser safety, robotics safety, hazardous materials use/storage/waste, EHS auditing.
- Perform environmental inspections in accordance with the site’s permits and local, regional, and federal requirements, including but not limited to air, stormwater, waste, and other land or environmental control equipment inspections.
- Support our clients’ desire to improve safety performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
- Develop and implement EHS compliance procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
- Manage tasks within the assigned scope/budget/schedule and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed their expectations.
- Support ERM Partners and Project Managers to effectively manage and deliver projects.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- At least 2 years of applicable experience providing EHS support with an emphasis on health and safety.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Experience working in High Tech, Power, Pharmaceutical or chemical sector environments preferred.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced customer environments, handling multiple assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and being able to re-prioritize tasks as-needed.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
