The AWS Environmental Construction Compliance team manages the environmental requirements during data center and infrastructure development in the Americas. The Environmental PM will be a key member of the AWS Environmental team managing the construction phase of the projects.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, biology, or related discipline.
7+ years managing permitting, and compliance for new developments.
5+ years environmental construction oversight
3+ years erosion and sediment control managment during construction
Preferred Qualifications
Data center or critical infrastructure construction, and/or or risk assessment experience strongly preferred.
Experience in multiple states within the US.
Experience managing and/or supporting community/public interactions.
Experience with Smartsheets or other project management software.
Up to 50% domestic travel
Experience working with large teams on a diverse slate of projects.

Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned.
Specific assignments and project work vary depending on the market segments. Please see below for information on each market:
Global Facilities
The Global Facilities group is responsible for the planning and design of manufacturing facilities, administrative buildings, district energy systems, data centers, and mission-critical facilities. They work in a variety of industries including food and beverage, consumer products, healthcare, commercial, life sciences, pharmaceutical, and aerospace manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Generating transmission line design criteria for PLS-CADD.
+ Building, modifying and analyzing transmission line, pole and tower models within PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS TOWER.
+ Developing construction assembly drawings, material specifications, and structure loading packages for submittal to vendors.
+ Developing construction deliverable packages that include plan & profile drawings, phasing drawings, and standard installation specifications.
+ Traveling out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignments.
+ Attending external and internal meetings to support processes.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited Engineering Institute.
- 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
- 0-2 years of experience as a transmission engineer, transmission line engineer, civil engineer or related position preferably including:
- Route alignment planning, structure spotting, and structure and line design of overhead transmission lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS TOWER
- Lattice tower analysis and design utilizing PLS TOWER and ASCE 10
- Foundation design of transmission structures using FAD Tools and LPILE
- Understanding of NESC, and relevant ASCE, IEEE and regional codes and standards #LI-OT1
