The Engineering Technician will support Software Engineering teams by prototyping integrated testing platforms (HIL Racks, Test Benches, etc.), flashing software and troubleshooting system faults.
What you'll do.
+ Conduct software testing and validation to verify system performance and reliability.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware integration issues.
+ Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and other technicians to build software development benches.
+ Familiarity with Linux and shell commands.
+ Ability to interpret network and wiring schematics.
+ Ability to track work through Jira and other Atlassian tools.
+ Maintain a strong understanding of electrical principles and automotive standards.
+ Build and assemble testing racks and benches according to engineering specifications.
+ Fabricate and assemble wiring harnesses for testing platforms.
+ Utilize 3D printing to create custom components for test benches and fixtures.
+ Maintain and repair existing test equipment and infrastructure.
+ Contribute to the design and improvement of testing platforms.
You'll have.
+ 2 year degree in Automotive Technology or relevant subjects
+ 5+ years of experience supporting electric vehicle architecture & integration development?
+ 3+ years of experience in software integration and testing, preferably in the automotive industry.
+ Proven experience in building and assembling electrical or mechanical systems.
+ Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques.
Even better, you may have.
+ Experience using vehicle network interface tools (Vector, Peak, Intrepid, etc)
+ Hands-on experience building and launching automotive products and vehicle prototyping
+ Experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, and Jira applications?
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills?
+ An eagerness to work in a fast paced cross-functional environment
+ A system approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement ?
+ Experience with 3D printing software and hardware.
+ Familiarity with electrical wiring standards and best practices.
+ Basic knowledge of CAD software for component design.
