**JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:**
The engineer role will be the technical resource for Entergy Arkansas's Energy Efficiency Department. The Engineering position candidate should expect to use industry certifications, on-the-job experience and a formal technical/engineering education to successfully fill this position. Candidates willing to learn or expand their energy efficiency knowledge and possess the self-motivation to support their career development will thrive in this position.
**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
The Engineer will be responsible for the analysis of energy efficiency measures, integration of energy efficiency standards, evaluation of energy efficiency savings as well as quality assurance and quality control processes, including conducting field inspections of completed projects and the supervision of contract field inspectors. The Engineer will ensure validity of the energy savings used to reach APSC mandated savings targets as well as support the associated regulatory filings. The Engineer will also calculate the Lost Contribution to Fixed Costs as prescribed by the Arkansas Public Service Commission. The Engineer will be the departmental lead for cost/benefit tests and the standardized system testing model (DSMore). The Engineer will work closely with Energy Efficiency Project Managers to audit work packages, develop departmental budgets, financial forecasts as well as report on the actual financial results. The successful candidate will have the ability to keep the department technically current while gaining essential administration skills by:
+ Gaining exposure to departmental processes

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION**
A bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution is required. Preference will be given to a degree in Energy Efficiency Engineering, Energy Management or Electrical Engineering. Other Engineering disciplines and technical degrees will be considered with other utility or energy efficiency experience.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE**

**Job Summary**
Provide Commercial & Industrial program management oversight over scope, schedule and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and PSEG procedures. Ensure projects meet all program requirements, including project scope and cost effectiveness.

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**
Develops studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems under the guidance of an experienced engineer. Provides consultation and recommendations to the Company within and to other business units and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities under an experienced engineer. Reviews financial data from budget and actual costs of projects under the guidance of an experienced engineer. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

**What you will be doing:**
+ Work alongside the Technical team to perform energy modeling on various projects including but not limited to high rise residential/commercial new construction projects ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility sponsored energy efficiency projects are successfully executed.

Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Project management experience, preferably in energy efficiency or related industry
  • 4+ years of experience in energy efficiency, commercial and/or industrial environments, project management or program delivery
  • Ability to complete scoping level calculations for energy saving projects (technical experience)
  • Experience working with and in industrial facilities is highly preferred, along with a solid understanding of general industrial technologies
  • Experience with project tracking, including M&V planning and baseline data analysis

About The Position

The Senior Energy Efficiency Analyst is responsible for analytics covering program implementation, cost effectiveness, and long-term planning of Ameren Missouri's energy efficiency and demand response programs, including integrating data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support energy efficiency policy development, planning, and implementation for Ameren Missouri.
  • Coordinate and authenticate work related to evaluation, measurement, and verification of energy efficiency/demand response programs.
  • Validating the accuracy of the impact and process evaluations of Ameren Missouri's energy efficiency/demand response programs. These evaluations include market assessments, baseline energy usage and practices analyses, market research, and engineering, statistical and econometric analysis to determine the energy/demand savings resulting from the programs.
  • Proficiently analyze the cost effectiveness of energy efficiency and demand responses measures.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities in the Technical Resource Manual that serve as a reference point for estimated energy and demand savings.
  • Lead cross functional projects including the development of long-term potential studies for energy efficiency, demand response, and other distributed energy resources.
  • Engage with program implementation teams to develop an understanding of their operations and lead efforts to apply analytical tools to achieve key business results.
  • Develop and implement innovative and efficient solutions for existing processes or new projects.
  • Fulfill requests for energy efficiency program and customer usage data and facilitate transfers to and from both internal and external parties, including coordinating with Digital resources as needed, while adhering to cybersecurity policies.
  • Provide support for Ameren Missouri regulatory proceedings.
  • Maintain an appropriate relationship with business and professional groups to stay abreast of ongoing research and trends in energy efficiency and demand response.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act, Missouri regulations of energy efficiency, approved energy efficiency plans, and associated tariffs.



Senior Analyst-Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Engineering, Business, Statistics, or Computer Science background preferred. Five or more years of relevant experience required. (e.g. energy efficiency, data/statistical analysis, engineering, business, marketing, managing data analytics/business analytics projects, etc.).

Senior Consultant -Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Eight or more years of relevant experience required (e.g. energy efficiency, data/statistical analysis, engineering, business, marketing, managing data analytics/business analytics projects, etc.). Data analytics, business analytics or quantitative analysis experience is required.



In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers is required.
  • Experience and knowledge of energy efficiency programs and the utility industry is preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (public speaking and written) required.
  • Good decision-making, problem solving, analytical, and computational skills also required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with critical time deadlines required.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of requests and assignments.
  • Solid analytical and project management skills required

Additional Information
Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$86,400.00 - $168,000.00

* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials.

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
