We're looking for an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join our Program Management & Engineering Operations team and lead the design and implementation of end-to-end SDLC processes. This role is onsite in Bellevue, WA at least three times a week. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Operations, you will:

  • Architect and implement streamlined workflows between engineering and cross-functional teams (Product Management, Legal, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales)
  • Lead process design and implementation via our Atlassian product suite (Jira Data Center, Confluence, and Marketplace add-ons), including workflows, custom fields, and automation rules to improve team efficiency
  • Develop and deploy comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions to provide real-time visibility into key engineering metrics (e.g., sprint velocity, defect density, etc.) and team performance, leading to data-driven decision making
  • Develop and execute change management strategies for new process and tool implementations, ensuring a smooth transition and high user adoption rates
  • Create and deliver effective training programs for engineering teams and stakeholders to increase process compliance and proficiency

What Were Looking for (Minimum Qualifications):

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering operations, technical program management, or similar roles
  • 3+ years of experience with Jira Data Center as an administrator, architect, developer, or product manager
  • Experience designing and implementing quality gates, design and architecture review processes, and release management procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional (e.g. Engineering, Operations, Product Management, etc.) projects concurrently, with proven ability to add structure and standards across project teams
  • Experience crafting and delivering engaging training materials and communication strategies (e.g., documentation, presentations, playbooks) to drive user adoption of new processes and tools

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience consulting for SaaS companies on engineering transformation, with a focus on SDLC optimization and scaling
  • Proficiency in data analysis, and experience building and presenting insightful visualizations for engineering metrics and performance
  • Experience maintaining and optimizing integrations between engineering tools and other business systems (e.g. Google Product Suite - App Script, Salesforce Salescloud, etc.)

What Youll Do

As Engineering Operations Manager, you will:

What Youll Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering operations, with a track record of scaling and empowering technical teams.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver measurable outcomes.

Job Area: Engineering Services Group, Engineering Services Group > Engineering Operations General Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HW related tasks (including, but not limited to demand forecast, build planning, allocation and distribution, etc.) for SW engineering teams across multiple chipset programs. Responsibilities include: Manage hardware demand for organizations through efficient collaboration and coordination across multiple development sites and cross-functional departments/teams. Negotiate demand from engineering leads, provide a consolidated report and analytical justification for budget approval. Analyze supply to identify and resolve shortages and broadcast appropriate notifications to engineering leads. Generate hardware related reports using a variety of tools for input and output. Develop scripts/tools that automate the consolidation of demand, generate reports, and publish accurate dashboards. Identify process improvements and implement/drive efficiency enhancements. Develop pertinent program indicators to push information to internal teams and management. Understand project constraints, consolidate these challenges and then recommend solutions. Identify technology teams impacted by silicon, hardware board layout, and/or software changes as well as collaborates with them to adjust their hardware accordingly. Represent engineering in weekly supply meetings to provide technical justification for driving builds on certain configurations. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field. OR Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience. OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. PMP Certification. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of analytical SW tools such as MS Excel (Pivot table, formulas and Power Query) and PowerApps. 2+ year of experience with technical project management including managing resources, mitigating risk, etc. 2+ year of experience with business metrics such as customer support tickets, KPIs, etc. 2+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization. 3+ years of embedded software development/testing experience. 3+ years of embedded hardware design/validation experience.
