Summary: The Engineering Manager will be an integral part of the Engineering staff and will embody compliant attributes in respect of detail design, accuracy, code compliance, and adherence to quality procedures. The role will be on-site, at an office and production facility, and will require travel to clients as required (foreign and domestic). The Engineering Manager will be a customer-facing liaison with clients for active projects, as required via meetings (Virtual and/or in person) and conference calls. They will also manage work assigned to, and workload of, subordinate engineering staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Creates, manages, and schedules all engineering tasks.
2. Manages HR responsibilities within the Engineering Team (performance management/reviews/vacations, etc.).
3. Works with Senior Manufacturing Engineer to ensure development of the team.
4. Detailed review, utilizing checklists, of submittal drawings and documents prepared by subordinate staff.
5. Performs design review with staff to assure accuracy, professionalism, and completeness.
6. Reviews designs for code compliance and reviews calculations for accuracy.
7. Assures design is consistent with the project quote or document of precedence.
8. Detailed review of production drawings for accuracy and completeness.
9. Works with General Manager, or other designate, to assure component ordering on time, on budget, and within quoted parameters, and to assure on-time project completion.
10. Assists production leadership in troubleshooting/problem-solving any production issues.
11. Researches and develops new products/procedures/innovations.
12. Troubleshoots non-conforming product.

Engineering Manager leads and supports a team of engineers by overseeing project execution, fostering team development, and aligning technical efforts with business goals.

• Assist the Director of Engineering in the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.

• Review daily prompt response log and resolve all issues in a timely manner.

• Review work orders and assign work by priorities.

• Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
