The Engineering Project Coordinator manages New Product Introduction (NPI) activities required to successfully support the design, build, and transfer of new products from AE's global design centers into manufacturing. Acts as support between the Project Management Office (PMO), Research and Development (R&D), Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and helps with Bill of Materials (BOM) completion and readiness.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Work closely with program management team to support different programs in development.

+ Work implementation dates on Engineering Change Order (ECO) to meet design needs and minimize scrapping materials that could have been used.
+ Must be able to effectively communicate with engineering, NPI buyers, planners and factory employees.

+ Interfaces heavily with iPro, AEI's ERP interface.
+ iPro is an internal proprietary tool to interface with ERP systems (ie SAP, Oracle)- Training will be provided.

+ Background in services and/or systems administration is a plus.

+ Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, as well as receipt and issuance of production material requirements
+ Manages and implements NPI Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
+ Coordinates with engineering to create and maintain Bill of Material (BOM's) in SAP
+ Manages the release of parts, modules, and/or units to appropriate department in production
+ Creates and maintains work orders, purchase requests and internal transfer orders
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
+ Location: Eden Prairie, MN
+ Works in a high-pressure environment under limited supervision
+ Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment
+ Must be able to navigate through the production and engineering environment, following the processes and procedures dictated in manufacturing and engineering
+ Primarily works in an engineering environment which may be noisy and fast-paced
+ The product being produced might have high voltage and current conditions; appropriate precautions must be observed
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Advanced knowledge of internal proprietary system, used for managing projects and materials
+ Ability to lead, plan and support the team related to any material management
+ Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, engineers and peers
+ Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
+ Demonstrated proficiency with Windows-based platforms and with computer-based tools, including working knowledge of Database, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software
+ Ability to multitask and work to strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ 3-5 years in Purchasing/Planning environment
+ Basic understanding of manufacturing planning/scheduling and the processes associated with MRP/ERP
+ Proven track record of success and growth in positions of increasing responsibility
+ Previous experience with SAP desired or preferred
+ Experience working in a team and group setting with upper-level managers
+ Knowledge and / or experience of planning, scheduling or organizing tasks
+ Embrace new technology and demonstrate an understanding of computer based systems/equipment.
+ 4 years of experience supporting engineering team, administrative support, or any related experience preferred
+ Knowledge of planning tools, software or CMMS systems preferred
**EDUCATION:**
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management, Finance, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent education
+ Prefer American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or Certified Purchasiing Manager (CPM) certification or other international certification
**COMPENSATION:**
_As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 to $125,000 per year._
