The Manager, Enterprise Architecture (EA), reports to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and will manage the Business Architecture (BA) and Enterprise Platforms & Technology (P&T) practices. EA's Business Architecture practice and methods leverage the business vision, strategies and priorities to strategically guide organizational change investments across the enterprise. EA's Platform & Technology practice and methods underpins business architecture and defines EA principles, standards, reference architectures and roadmap strategies. + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Department Overview
The Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture (EA) helps guide the enterprise, proactively and holistically, through transformation and optimization initiatives, supporting the formulation and realization of digital and technology strategy and driving innovation opportunities. The scope of activities includes enabling the organization to achieve targeted business outcomes that support enterprise and C-suite priorities for growing revenue, optimizing costs and mitigating risks. They focus on building relationships with business and IT stakeholders, communicating the value of enterprise architecture (EA) and the services it offers, ensuring ongoing satisfaction with EA services and performance, and shaping and guiding the delivery of EA's services.
Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesLead and Evolve the EA Practice
+ Lead the enterprise-wide architecture governance to ensure the alignment to McD's tech standards and target states.
+ Define the EA value proposition and drive communication and education efforts.
+ Mature EA into an internal consultancy offering agile, stakeholder-aligned services.
+ Build and develop a skilled EA team, fostering business and behavioral competencies.
+ Provide coaching, manage EA resources, and ensure governance and compliance.
Shape and Guide Business Strategy
+ Analyze market trends, disruptive forces, and financial levers to inform strategy.
+ Develop future- and current-state models to support strategic decision-making.
Bridge Strategy and Execution
+ Align business and IT through technology-enabled business models and roadmaps.
+ Address execution challenges while balancing innovation and growth.
Drive Innovation and Emerging Technology Adoption
+ Identify and assess disruptive technologies and innovation opportunities.
+ Provide actionable insights and manage innovation execution using agile methods.
Strengthen Business Engagement and EA Value
+ Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on technology investments.
+ Develop consumable, timely architecture guidance to support strategic decisions.
+ Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
Qualifications
+ Master's or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. F
+ Fifteen or more years of experience in strategic and operations planning and architecture.
+ Fifteen or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management, or operations in a multitier environment.
Skills:
+ Strategic & Financial Acumen: Expertise in business, operating, and financial models; budgeting; cost-benefit and risk analysis.
+ Technology & Architecture: Deep knowledge of EA, IT principles, cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), APIs, microservices, and AI (including generative AI).
+ IT & Agile Methodologies: Proficient in SDLC, ITSM, Agile, Lean, DevOps, and frameworks like ITIL and TOGAF.
+ Enterprise Agility: Strong grasp of agile principles and frameworks at scale.
+ Information & Systems Management: Skilled in infrastructure, operations, and information management practices.
+ Tools & Modeling: Familiar with EA tools, modeling techniques, and repository management.
+ Communication & Analysis: Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary Range
Salary Ranges-$222,650.00 - $289,440.00
