Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to join their team. The Environmental Services Manager is responsible for developing and executing facility solutions to ensure all health and safety standards are met. Responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location and managing 35 employees.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $88,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Overall ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the unit

Ensure the completion and maintenance of financial statements relative to the department

Oversight and responsibility to deliver client and company financial targets

Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, eliminate custom/manual reports

Understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins

Productivity

Implement and maintain GM agenda for both labor and total quality management requirements

Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management

Ensure consistent application of Aramark?s operating standards and processes (Operational Excellence) with particular focus on efficiencies in sustainability efforts to reduce energy consumption and labor productivity standards

Qualifications

Job Summary

As an Environmental Services Operations Manager, you are responsible for assisting EVS leaders in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. You will coordinate the tasks of the front-line staff. You will serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments and provide the highest possible level of service.

  • Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common bathrooms, lounges, nurses’ stations, utility rooms, entrances, etc., as directed by daily assignments.
  • Clean, maintain and refurbish floor coverings throughout the building.
  • Pick up and remove trash from utility rooms and common areas as assigned.
  • Perform seasonal cleaning as assigned.
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect resident rooms immediately following discharge and prior to new admission arriving.
  • Assist in the setup of activity and dining rooms for special events, as assigned.
  • Respond to fire alarms and other emergency procedures appropriately.
  • Assist in moving furniture/receiving deliveries as needed.
  • Respond in a timely fashion to requests for special cleaning following mishaps or as needed.
  • Provide assistance to Maintenance Technicians as needed.
  • Always uses chemicals in appropriate quantity and proportions for the various cleaning tasks undertaken as prescribed by the Assistant Director or Director.
  • Always store chemicals and other hazards in a safe manner according to the directions of the EVS Director.
  • Drive residents to events and/or appointments as needed.
  • Follow all established Policies and Procedures for the Environmental Services Department.
  • Assist peers and coworkers in complying with proper procedures as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED

Job Summary

As an Environmental Services Operations Manager, you are responsible for assisting EVS leaders in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. You will coordinate the tasks of the front-line staff. You will serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments and provide the highest possible level of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and annually reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff
  • Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered
  • Assists in the hiring process; interview, hiring and training of new associates
  • Orients, develops, and supervises all supervisory/housekeeping staff
  • Conducts regular inspections and makes recommendations to the facility
  • Monthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future plans
  • Staff education and training
  • Communication with staff, administration, and other departments
  • Coordination of outside services (i.e. Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, and Recycling program)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree, military experience, or equivalent work experience required
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer/client contact required
  • Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of health care housekeeping or facility maintenance preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures
  • Ability to work an evening shift Monday-Friday (for ex: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM) with a weekend and holiday rotation
  • Willingness to work a 10 hour day on a regular basis

Military Transferrable Skills:

  • Non Commissioned Officer E4+ with experience in Planning, developing and directing logistics
  • All military branches with experience of supervising a group of soldiers of 15 or more
  • Troubleshoots, isolates and identifies causes of equipment malfunction
  • Teaches technical skills to lower grade soldiers
  • Prepares costs and labor estimates
