Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will make an impact as a maintenance technician by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores! Premier Metro Atlanta-based organization is seeking an experienced Hardware Repair Technician for a long-term contract position. In this role, you will provide on-site end-user computing support including: investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, network, and instructional technology incidents.
**REQUIRED: DELL or Lenovo Laptop experience**
Responsibilities:
+ Hardware / Laptops repairs and troubleshooting.
+ Manage service requests through the ticketing system, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) including response time and resolution time.
+ Communicate bi-directionally regarding status of IT incidents and planned IT initiatives (such as online testing) to the service desk, technical support coordinators and schools through the incident tracking software.
+ Set up new devices, workstations, print stations, and assignments to default printers.
+ May be involved in maintaining data catalogue of inventory and performing record keeping functions of hardware locations, assignments, quantities, types and required repairs, including start-up and end-of-year processes.
Required Skills:
+ 3+ years of providing technical support including hardware support in an enterprise level organization.
+ A+ or Microsoft Certification (MCP or MCSE or any desktop support certifications) are preferred.
+ Understanding of and experience working with technology hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones, printers, projectors, smart boards, scanners, and digital cameras.
+ Experience using SCCM to create collections and push software.
+ Familiarity with IT support tools, such as Active Directory, Remedy or LANdesk.

This is position is only available at our Chamblee GA service center. The position will start on our 1st shift work schedule of 6:00AM - 2:30PM ET for training. The position will then move to our 2nd shift work schedule of 4:30PM - 1:00AM ET once training is completed.
**Job Description**
**Your Role:**
+ Assist with removal of copper coils and disassembly of generator fields
+ Size and deburr copper coils
+ Assist with rigging and moving a generator field
+ Assist with removing and installing shrunk on components
+ Assist the winding process and can work a corner of the generator with little to no supervision
+ Basic knowledge and understanding of the different insulation systems
+ Understands the different electrical tests and what each test is for
+ Understands different parts for a generator and can assist with inventory
+ Understands how to braze copper and willing to go to a brazing school
+ Basic knowledge and understanding with reading a blueprint
+ Assist with sizing and installation of permanent blocking following the print
+ Assist with winding slinky and c-coils designs
+ Assist with pressings coils and baking a field. Can record temperatures through the baking process
**Basic Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED
+ 2+ years' experience using tooling and utility grade generator repair and maintenance, or relevant experience with electrical/mechanical systems within an industrial manufacturing setting
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Experience with using low voltage testing equipment.
+ Experience in insulating copper coils
+ Brazing copper joints
+ Commitment to safety
+ Demonstrated ability to work with others in a manufacturing setting
The hourly pay rate for this position is $26.43/hr.
