**Archer Western Construction,** is currently seeking a **Heavy Equipment Operator** for the **Pasadena 36" Force Main Phase III GMP,** in **St Petersburg, FL** .
Primary function is to operate a variety of **Heavy Equipment** at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures; equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed; operates equipment in compliance with company operating safety, policies, and procedures.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Operates a variety of Equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and to move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate.
+ Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials.
+ May oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; performs daily safety and maintenance checks; completes paperwork and other documentation as required.
+ May be some vibration associated with equipment operation; jolts and vibrations may result from operating equipment; loud noise when operating equipment.
+ May perform other related duties as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ 3-5 years of operating experience preferred
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
+ Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
+ Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
+ Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
+ Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

**Shift:** Monday-Friday, 6am - 6pm (schedule varies) & every other Saturday 7am - 5pm
Performs complex preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of equipment (Trucks and Yellow Iron).
**II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
+ Repairs as needed equipment (including, but not limited to, bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars).

T he Machine Operator position requires machine operators with the fortitude and trainability to run multiple machines at the required productivity levels. Previous machine, set up, changeover, and mechanical experience is a plus.

This position is responsible for running a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Grinding machines which remove material from the OD (outer Diameter) and ID (Inner Diameter) to a certain size, finish, roundness, and straightness as specified in the part print/control plan.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Check equipment initially upon beginning of shift to ensure the machine is running correctly
- Verify machine, equipment, and gauges are set up correctly specific to work order/part number while ensuring process steps are followed
- Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on production parts when needed
- Run parts ensuring they meet part print specification by using a variety of metrology equipment such as roundness checker, surface analyzer, air gauge, and indicating probe
- Following process procedures maintaining high quality of production parts while driving to improve individual output numbers
- Follow all company safety protocol
- Attention to detail while working with small components
- Ability to perform moderate math work
- Ability to work in team or individually as needed
- Ability to meet production demands by operating a variety of finishing equipment
- Ability to understand mechanical concepts and perform minor repairs utilizing hand tools
- Problem solving ability when something is not working correctly
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Technical college certificate is a plus
