**Job Description:**
**Compensation Consultant - Broad-Based**
Parsons is seeking a talented Compensation Consultant to drive excellence in our broad-based compensation programs and processes. This individual contributor role will support both day-to-day broad-based compensation operations and strategic initiatives, ensuring our compensation practices remain competitive, compliant, and effective. The position also serves as a key partner in leveraging technology platforms (MarketPay, JDXpert, Workday) to deliver high-quality compensation solutions.
We are looking for a motivated professional who is ambitious, self-directed, inquisitive, and resilient-someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, dynamic environment. This role offers a blend of recurring responsibilities and project-based initiatives, requiring strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to influence across diverse business groups.
This position reports to the Senior Compensation Manager and is remote/virtual.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
**MarketPay / Payscale Administration**
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for the MarketPay/Payscale platform.
+ Manage benchmark jobs, update the survey library, and validate data accuracy.
+ Partner with survey vendors, oversee the annual MarketPay migration, and manage user setup, access, and training.
+ Conduct ad hoc pricing and market analysis for new and existing roles.
**Job Descriptions & Program Support**
+ Lead job description reviews in collaboration with HR partners and managers.
+ Create and review new job descriptions with HR partners and managers.
+ Manage compensation program activities, including salary survey job matching, data submission, and market analysis for executive and non-executive roles.
+ Prepare and deliver training on compensation tools and processes (e.g., MarketPay, JDXpert, new job creation).
**Compensation Operations & Analysis**
+ Support compensation compliance efforts (e.g., Federal business requirements), job and FLSA analysis, M&A integration, and ad hoc compensation studies.
+ Deliver compensation reporting and analytics to inform decision-making.
+ Collaborate with the compensation team to identify process gaps, recommend automation enhancements, and improve efficiency and quality controls.
+ Provide support for compensation-related projects and initiatives as needed.
**What Skills and Qualifications You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Human Resources, or a related field.
+ 8+ years of experience in compensation.
+ Hands-on experience with MarketPay/Payscale or similar compensation benchmarking tools, ideally as a system administrator or primary point of contact.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly to HR partners and business leaders.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable across diverse audiences.
+ Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across an organization.
+ Professionalism, accountability, and resilience, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
+ High attention to detail and strong time management skills, including project planning and deadline management.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Workday experience preferred.
+ CCP certification or progress toward certification preferred.
