Job Description
The Industrial Mechanic position will be responsible for all of the troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding, preventative maintenance and other projects that will keep the production equipment operating effectively. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, ensuring that all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely. The Industrial Mechanic will work closely with other team members to uphold the highest standards of maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have experience installing and modifying food production machinery. A background in sugar handling, packaging, and processing preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Perform installation of new equipment and Production Lines.
Perform field fabrication of support structures and equipment modifications
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Fabricate and weld components as needed using stick welding techniques.
Install, maintain, and repair high voltage & low voltage electrical systems.
Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to improve equipment reliability.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the industrial environment.
Job Requirements
5 or more years of experience in a as Maintenance Mechanic
Ability to weld and fabricate, TIG, MIG and Stick Welding
Experience in troubleshooting mechanically and electrically, need to be strong in hydraulic
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
Familiarity with plumbing, HVAC, general facility maintenance
