• Follows all safety procedures

  • Identify Problems and formulate solutions to fix the problems

• Troubleshoot small electrical circuits and find problems
• Troubleshoot small pumping circuits and pump failures
• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical drive systems such as belts, motors, and chains with minimal assistance
• Repair mechanical failures in a timely fashion
• General idea of manufacturing operations, such as:
  • Extrusion Press Operation
  • Water Treatment Process Pumping and Systems
  • Anodizing and Paint Operations
• Perform PMs such as oil level checks and mechanical Inspections
• Other Duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED, associate degree, or completed journeyman program in related field
• 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar mechanical capacity in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing process and principals and minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems and controls utilized in industrial applications
• Strong ability to reach schematics, troubleshoot root cause, and implement repairs to restore flow of equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Initiative to lean new tasks and interested in training
• Enthusiastic about learning equipment and learning failure patterns
• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting
• Must be flexible to work any shift, holidays, and weekends as needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines including motors, pneumatics, hydraulics and conveyors using diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.

We have an immediate need for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Department in Bloomsburg, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of 480V troubleshooting and installation and the ability to work in a team setting but will also feel confident enough to complete some smaller tasks independently. This position is "hands-on" and the individual should have a self-starter mindset.

What you can expect to be doing:

• Conduct daily and weekly preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial hydraulic and pneumatic machinery
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial equipment installations
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and other electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
• Repair, install, and adjust industrial extrusion machinery
• Able to work an 9-hour day shift
  • The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

• Welding and Fabrication experience a plus but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job
• Must be able to be on-call if necessary

Preferred work experience/knowledge

• Rigging and heavy equipment experience a plus
• Knowledge of pipe threading for air hydraulic and electrical piping
• Understand lockout procedures and ARC flash protection/dangers
• Able to use scissor lifts, boom/aerial lifts, and forklifts
