The Sr. Engineer will join the Facility Group to manage, plan, direct, and coordinate facility project activities to ensure projects are accomplished within the approved scope, budget, and schedule. **This position operates and maintains two oil/gas boilers and all associated auxiliary equipment, such as generator, feed water pumps and water softeners. Must be able to use hand and power tools and appropriate test equipment. · Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and systems. To include visual and internal inspections, adjustments, lubrication, internal inspection of mechanical/electrical components and repair or replacement of parts as needed. · Performs scheduled electrical safety inspections and environmental sweeps in all areas· Requisitions and maintains a required stock of material and repair parts for assigned equipment in order to minimize down time · Performs prescribed chemical tests and analysis of boiler water, cooling tower water, condensate, chilled water and potable water. Job Summary and Qualifications
Position responsibilities: · Monitors and maintains the safe operation of assigned machinery and mechanical equipment located in the power plant and mechanical rooms. Equipment to include: fire tube boilers, generator heater, boiler feed water pump system, several steam PRV stations, chillers, Diesel Generator, Medical Air Compressors, Pneumatic control air compressors, Medical vacuum pumps, City water booster pumps. Must be able to use hand and power tools and appropriate test equipment. · Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and systems. To include visual and internal inspections, adjustments, lubrication, internal inspection of mechanical/electrical components and repair or replacement of parts as needed. · Performs scheduled electrical safety inspections and environmental sweeps in all areas· Requisitions and maintains a required stock of material and repair parts for assigned equipment in order to minimize down time · Performs prescribed chemical tests and analysis of boiler water, cooling tower water, condensate, chilled water and potable water. Records results and makes necessary adjustments in chemical dosage or pump operation · Monitors and records assigned data from meters and gauges on assigned equipment such as the boilers, chillers, reheat system and air handlers. Analyzes readings and makes necessary corrections or adjustments to insure safe and comfortable conditions of the building · Performs inspections and maintenance on equipment throughout the facility as assigned. Example: electrical switches/lighting, plumbing repairs, equipment and mechanical failures · Responds to emergency maintenance requests in other hospital departments during periods of time when the day shift maintenance staff is not scheduled. If assistance is required, the Maintenance Technician will contact the Director of Plant Operations or Lead Technician · Conducts electrical safety inspections of equipment in various areas of the hospital. Your Role: Senior Maintenance Technician
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be a key part of our team to ensure the continuous and safe operation of equipment in a GMP manufacturing facility. In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing precision maintenance tasks, improving equipment strategies, and collaborating with multiple departments to maintain a high standard of work and safety.
Your Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies, wearing proper PPE, and participating in safety meetings and action plans.
Maintain 100% completion of Learning Plans and actively engage in personal development, including sharpening craft skills and sharing knowledge.
Support the GMP manufacturing facility by accurately documenting work performed, maintaining flexibility in work schedules, and meeting business needs.
Foster positive communication and collaboration with operations and other departments to complete tasks effectively and resolve conflicts.
Operate in compliance with regulations, integrating QMP practices into daily work and contributing to improvements in the CMMS system.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: High school degree or equivalent
Required Experience: A minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, with a focus on mechanical systems and equipment
Top 2 skills: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and precision maintenance practices
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Associate degree related to industrial maintenance
Experience in equipment maintenance strategies and working with engineering to implement projects
Familiarity with mechanical drawing systems and codes (e.g. pipe welds, bearings, structural, etc.)
Ability to lead and train other mechanics on procedures and best practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
