With the new facility in Spartanburg, SC now operational, we're building a best-in-class maintenance team to support our high-tech, robotics-driven production lines. This is your chance to be part of something from the start-and grow with it. The Maintenance Technicians will be on 2nd Shift (training on 1st shift) . Pay is $28.50-40.00/hour (higher pay is based depending on experience), with a sign-on bonus paid out over the course of 6 months.
What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our automated welding and robotics systems running smoothly. Responsibilities include:
- Performing preventive maintenance (PMs) on robotic weld cells and automation equipment
- Troubleshooting PLCs, robotics (especially Kawasaki & ABB), and electrical/mechanical systems
- Supporting electricians, engineers, and vendor techs with installations and diagnostics
- Mentoring entry-level Weld Technicians
- Handling basic facility needs (hands-on startup culture)
Top Skillsets
- Robotics Experience: Kawasaki preferred, ABB also valued
- PLC Troubleshooting: Ladder logic interpretation required (programming expected at senior levels)
- Welding Knowledge: MIG, TIG, Stick-understanding robotic weld applications

Strong ability with understanding failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause, and repair. Strong electrical skills. Working knowledge of control systems, PLC controls. Able to work independently, is a self-starter, and is highly motivated to complete projects and meet deadlines. Possess good communication skills; able to clearly communicate with peers, management, and suppliers, both verbally and in email communication. Available to work overtime and weekends as required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check and physical screening. Able to travel on occasion to other U.S. Centers and internationally as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Pay: $25.25 - $35.05 /hr. DOE
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor a diverse array of production systems and equipment to identify any issues.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Complete routine preventative maintenance thoroughly and on time.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
- Troubleshoot and/or program PLC's when needed.
- Understand and follow all Safety procedures such as lockout-tagout and wearing proper PPE.
- Understand and practice Quality System requirements and documentation (i.e., applicable inspection, verification, and disposition procedures, and/or instructions and forms required as part of the process).
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Associate technical degree or vocational training in industrial field or similar, and 5 years of manufacturing experience is preferred
- OR a minimum of 7 years combined training and experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working on gears, gearboxes, chains, bearings etc.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and efficiently use a multi meter
- Understanding of electrical systems such as 480-volt and 24-volt circuits
- Solid experience with fluid pumps and AC/DC motors
- Understanding of pneumatic systems such as solenoids, cylinders, and diaphragm pumps
- Experience with PLC's - Troubleshooting ladder logic, making edits, and performing some programming
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given
- Displays initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Commitment to meet or exceed company attendance and punctuality standards

A successful Maintenance Technician will support operations and proactively lead preventative maintenance work. They demonstrate the willingness and ability to act swiftly to meet the customer's needs. This person must be able to fully cross-train in all maintenance areas, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, for both troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Will utilize computerized maintenance systems and can demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision-making. This person is dedicated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a self-starter, and loves to provide input and ideas to help the bakery succeed.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have at least 3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance millwright and electrical experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as schedule requires.
- The candidate must be proficient in at least two areas: electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding, steam systems, compressed air systems, and hydraulics.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work alone when required.
- Must read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Experience using maintenance tools.
- Ability to work at heights, heat, and extreme cold conditions.
- Personal and total commitment to observing all safety rules and regulations, including the ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
- Must commit to learning all Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP regulations.
- Attend scheduled training(s) onsite and offsite.
- High school diploma or GED.

Physical Demands
The position requires regular physical activity such as reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, lifting 50 pounds or more, and walking/standing within and around the site for a minimum of 8-12 hours daily.
