SUMMARY
Under general supervision, provides first-level, on-site Health Services at MPS facilities.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides first aid and episodic care to MPS students and responds to emergencies as needed.
- Performs duties within scope of authority and training, and in compliance with MPS policies and quality standards; duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Interviews students and listens to their health care concerns, to determine the level of health care services needed to address the issue(s), following established guidelines, policy and procedures.
- Follows protocols, procedures, and written care plans to administer medications, treatments, and episodic care under the delegation and guidance of the licensed school nurse.
- Provides referrals to other members of the school health team and outside resources in accordance with District guidelines and with appropriate consultations with parents and the licensed school nurse.
- Assists with vision, hearing and growth screenings following District and State guidelines as requested by the licensed school nurse or per parent/teacher request.
- Follows District and State protocols/procedures to ensure infection control practices are maintained.
- Follows communicable disease protocols/procedures including prevention, tracking and follow-up.
- Maintains accurate and complete health records for students and enters data in the Electronic Pupil Health Record.
- Participates as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team to prepare for and respond to emergency situations.
- Maintains student immunization records and practices according to Minnesota School Immunization Law and follows up with parents/guardians of students who are not in compliance.
- Maintains inventory of first aid supplies and equipment; re-orders supplies as needed.
- May also track student attendance as assigned.
- Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with students, families, visitors, and MPS staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
- Enthusiastically promotes the Superintendent's goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records and MPS information.
- Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one (1) year of experience as a Medical Technician, EMT, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Homecare PCA; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
Knowledge of:
- State and Federal laws and regulatory issues governing public health, including rules and regulations of the Minnesota Department of Health and other governing agencies.
- Public health and safety protocols and regional healthcare issues.
- Nutrition and health maintenance issues for children and young adults.
- Regional community service agencies and other governmental assistance programs.
- Principles of record keeping and confidential records and file management.
- Customer service and public relations methods and practices.
- Interpreting and applying applicable Federal, state and local rules and regulations; and MPS policies.

Work is performed in a standard office environment and school health clinic setting which requires moderate physical strength and agility to include sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching and occasional lifting, amd moving and carrying of up to 40 pounds. Work also requires manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform required job tasks. Performance of duties is subject to exposure to hazardous chemicals, infectious diseases, and air/blood borne pathogens. Incuments hired must be capable of responding to emergencies at the school site in a timely manner and performing CPR.

We are currently seeking a LPN to join our Jail Health Services team. This position is part-time with benefits, 64 hours per pay period, day/evening shift, and every other weekend.
Jail Health Services is under contract with Hennepin County Medical Center and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office to provide medical services to the jail inmate population. The Hennepin County Jail is the largest and busiest pre-trial adult detention center in Minnesota with approximately 35,000 individuals booked into the jail each year.
Initial medical screenings are done at the time an inmate is booked into the jail to triage for urgent medical needs. Before their 14th day of incarceration, all inmates receive a mandatory health assessment and Tuberculosis screening. The jail offers medical, mental health and dental services on a 24-hour basis and the clinic also operates a 4 bed infirmary unit for hospital diversion.
SUMMARY
With the context of the Hennepin County Medical Center Relationship-Based Care Practice Model, under the direction of providers and/or the registered nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse assists providers in the delivery of care and performs nursing functions within the LPN scope of practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the initial and ongoing assessment of patients
- Obtain patient information and medical history including current medications, allergies, chief complaint, and immunization schedule
- Perform basic patient care activities including taking and charting vital signs
- Under the direction of a registered nurse, provide patient education from standardized teaching plans
- Transcribe orders, maintain telephone communication, and call prescription refills as directed by providers
- Assist with tracking and review of medical records and lab results
- Clean equipment and rooms. Maintain a safe environment
- Procure and stock equipment and supplies and ensure that equipment is operable through quality assurance checks
- Maintain clinical competence within the area of specialty
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with patient and family, team members, department and medical center personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned, but only when trained to do so
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an approved course in practical nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse issued by the Minnesota Board of Nursing

**Required Qualifications**
The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company's business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:
+ 15+ years of professional work experience in healthcare, managed care, health plans, or Pharmacy and/or Medical Benefit Management, preferably with a focus on financial strategy and client relations.
+ 5+ years of leadership experience with negotiating contracts in the Healthcare or PBM industry.
+ 3+ years as a Negotiator in a Market Access environment.
+ Experience driving complex contract negotiations and successful completion of contracts, PBM and Managed Care expertise, primarily focused on the management of pharmacy budgets related to manufacturers.
+ Experience in leading multiple manufacturer relationships to include direct contact with key decision makers.
+ Experience developing and maintaining training materials or new initiatives and onboarding activities.
+ Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
+ Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
+ Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
+ Mastery skills for strategic vision and critical thinking capacity.
+ Mastery of growth mindset (agility and development of self and others).
+ Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional strategic initiatives in complex matrixed environments.
+ Ability to travel 15- 20%.
+ Ability to work a Hybrid Model (in office Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday) out of our Bloomington, MN or Northbrook, IL offices. Remote work arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
**Education**
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA or Marketing degree preferred.
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
