For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $115,000-135,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schneider Electric is looking for a Field Building Automation Installer; this position is a field-based position where you may perform any number of roles .

What will you do?

  • Remotely resolve security product issues for SE field Technicians and customers
  • Interface with Engineering and Quality Assurance departments
  • Diagnose and resolve software and networking issues for installed Building Automation systems
  • Work with field service technicians to troubleshoot and repair installed field equipment
  • Maintain test records and site configuration information
  • Provide emergency and warranty service as required
  • Assist in commissioning and startup of new Building Automation systems
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and sketches of security systems
  • Completed documentation of work accomplishment for work order systems and time control activities

Objective: This position is responsible for the professional and responsive field service, planned maintenance and installation of surgical equipment manufactured and distributed by Bausch + Lomb.
Responsibilities:
Provide first tier service response to B+L Surgical customers. Schedules and completes planned maintenance services for customers on B+Ls surgical products, and provides site planning and inspection services for installation of new systems. May provide support or perform equipment installations when needed.
Interfaces with service personnel including Technical Support, Customer Service, Parts/Planning personnel, and Service Engineering to complete the timely repair of B+Ls products at the customers site. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with Commercial Sales team members in respective territories through regular interface and communication.
Key resource for promoting service agreements with B+L customers through communication and education of benefits. Includes interface with customers and internal B+L service operations personnel.
Comply with all administrative policies and procedures associated with the field repair and service on B+Ls products. This includes service reports, expense reports, installation reports and training.
Escalates all customer issues in appropriate manner through formal and informal escalation methods to secure timely resolution to customer problems.
Maintains company assets, including parts inventory and test equipment assigned.
Develops a thorough command of the ophthalmic industry terminology, procedures, and technology as needed to provide support on products manufactured and distributed by B+L and for B+Ls customers.
Key resource for pro-active improvement suggestions for the technical and field service aspects of the position.
In addition to the listed duties, the incumbent may be expected to perform other similar related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Training:
+ Required Education: Associate degree or higher in electronics, equivalent technical school, related military education, or equivalent experience.
+ Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in electronics.
+ Required Skills/Qualifications:
+ High level of troubleshooting, electronic and mechanical aptitude
+ Strong analytical skills.
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers.
+ Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
+ Proven working knowledge of computer and basic Microsoft Office suite.
+ Must be a team player and collaborate on solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
+ Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of ServiceMax, Sales Force, Laser systems, optics, general computer repair and computer networking.
+ Required Experience:Experience and knowledge in the repair of sophisticated electronic and mechanical products. Customer service experience.
+ Preferred Experience: Medical device field service experience is highly preferred.

Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing field technical services for Siemens Energy combustion turbine-generators and associated auxiliary systems including commissioning, fact finding, trouble shooting, combustion dynamics & emissions tuning, and periodic support of new unit installations.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless functioning of Siemens Energy's combustion turbine-generators and associated systems. Your contributions will primarily involve commissioning, fact-finding, fixing, combustion dynamics, and emissions tuning. Additionally, you will support new unit installations periodically.
+ You will provide outstanding metrology and alignment services using CAD and GD&T experience with portable CMM equipment and advanced scanning technologies. Your work will determine the precision and reliability of our turbine-generators.
+ You will apply modal and vibration analysis to improve the performance and longevity of Siemens Energy's steam and combustion turbine-generators. This critical role will involve balancing and optimizing equipment to ensure world-class operations.
+ Your expertise in steam turbine commissioning will be crucial. You will be responsible for commissioning, fixing, valve stroking, timing, and providing periodic support for new unit installations, ensuring the seamless operation of our steam turbine-generators.
+ You will maintain a safety-first approach, ensuring safe working conditions at all times. Your role will involve traveling to customer sites across the US and internationally, with up to 80% travel required. You will lead teams of mechanics and collaborate with different levels of customer organizations.
+ Crafting detailed reports will require strong communication abilities. You will work both independently and within a team, leading initiatives and striving for continuous process improvements.
**What You Bring**
+ A completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology, or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience. Ideally, 5 years of proven experience in a relevant field.
+ Advanced field experience in the Power Generation or Oil and Gas Industries. Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
+ Commissioning of turbine-generator auxiliary systems
1. Combustion Dynamics Tuning
2. Metrology and Alignment
+ Modal and Vibration Analysis
1. Turbine-Generator Startup and Operations (T3000 knowledge is a plus)
1. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
2. Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and written instructions/procedures.
