We are seeking a Field Service Engineer like you to join our amazing team in our beautiful Muscatine, IA Manufacturing plant. Although the job has been posted in a wider variety of locations, this position is onsite and is located in Muscatine, IA. Full relocation assistance is being offered along with a great compensation, annual bonus, and world-class benefits! Travel would be domestically and would only be 50% and would most often be to our Bandag manufacturing facilities in Abilene, TX, Griffin, GA or Oxford, NC.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be providing Engineering Services and support to the Bridgestone pre-cure tread (PCT) manufacturing operations through evaluation, analysis, design, supervision, upgrading and installation of corporate facilities, equipment, controls and process systems. Is a source of knowledge and expertise on equipment in Bridgestone Bandag manufacturing sites. You will also need to be proficient in plant mechanical and electrical systems, risk prevention systems, buildings and grounds (asphalt, roofing, HVAC, lighting, etc.), warehousing, waste management and logistics. 50% domestic travel will be required.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage equipment installation projects.
Design and refine manufacturing equipment and processes.
Collaborate with global teams and serve as a technical consultant.

POSITION SCOPE
The Field Engineer role will focus on the installation, technical optimization, and troubleshooting of our equipment located within customer facilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Preparing, scheduling, and coordinating of assigned field engineering projects. Activity will primarily be the installation of industrial bakery equipment within customer facilities located across North America.

The estimated base pay range for this position is: $80,000 - $95,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, qualifications, skills and geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive program.

Job Summary:
The Field Service Engineer performs functions to provide capital equipment maintenance, repair, qualification protocol execution, calibration, and training services for customers in US or Internationally.
Job Duties:
- Plan assigned customer service needs, contact customers to obtain information to determine tools, instruments and parts that may be needed in the field and arrange travel needs.
- Meet customer personnel to determine equipment problems, perform diagnostic tests involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and take corrective action involving replacing defective parts and machine components, reprogramming control systems and reviewing units as necessary.
- Provide protocol services for customers, perform equipment qualification procedures at home office and at customer site, identify and correct problems as required.
- Calibrate equipment according to customer schedule apply test procedures and adjust equipment to meet standards.
- Provide on-site operation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
- Make courtesy calls to customer sites as available.
- Respond to customer calls regarding equipment problems, determine nature of problems and recommend corrective action.
- Run lab and factory acceptance tests for customers, set up equipment, run product and check specifications.
- Conduct on-site seminars for equipment operation and process optimization.
- Prepare service and expense records as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or 4 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience installing and servicing capital equipment.
- Electromechanical proficiency.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity working with Programmable Logical Controllers (PLCs).
- Some knowledge of RS Logix.
- Experience working with Digital Multimeters, temperature probes, pressure gauges.
- Familiarity working with high voltage devices.
- Experience with troubleshooting.
- Ability to travel 50% - 80%, domestically and internationally.
