Job Description
Provides business planning, forecasting, data-driven decision analysis, and financial performance measurement for all business units and asset segments of Fort Washington. Leads the annual budgeting process and evaluates variances to budget throughout the year. Oversees the FWIA invoicing process. Analyzes and communicates quarterly financial results to both Fort Washington and Western & Southern senior management. Develops and maintains critical management-decision-making analytical tools, suggests and implements cost-saving projects, and works on special projects as needed. Creates highly confidential analyses in support of new business initiatives and potential acquisitions. Chairs or supports multiple working committees within Fort Washington. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible to independently make a broad range of critical decisions, escalating to executive-level associates when appropriate.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:
- Provides leadership for the business and executes key initiatives for executive management.
- Develops annual, three-year, and (in some cases) five-year business plans using a well-documented and mechanized financial model. Constructs annual budget and supplies monthly variances to senior leadership.
- Develops, implements and reports business unit profitability and performance measures with an emphasis on deep coverage of the Private Equity and Private Client business units.
- Chairs the Best-execution Committee. Facilitates work in support of the Fort Washington Risk Management Committee. Co-chairs the FW Treasury Committee. Co-chairs the FW Op-ex Committee.
- Acts as main liaison for the annual LLC audits with the external auditor, custodian, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and oversee a holistic sales reporting paradigm that accurately captures sales of all FW strategies inclusive of all delivery vehicles (SMA, funds, ETFs, CITs, etc).
- Develops decision analysis tools necessary to help manage and grow the business.
- Identifies and implements process and cost improvements.
- Prepares and communicates Scorecard commentary quarterly for each business unit supported.
- Fulfills investment advisory duties in a fashion that supports a culture of compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated experience working independently under little direction from management. Experience must include identifying and resolving problems where independent decision-making and self-initiative were demonstrated.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills. Expected to cite examples of organization and time management/methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands.
- Proven strong quantitative and analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying, defining and resolving complex problems, and collecting or interpreting data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions to provide effective resolutions. Proven experience with sound decision-making skills when dealing with multiple alternatives. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and apply new methodologies.
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to others in a clear, focused and concise manner while following proper rules of punctuation, diction and style. Ability to prepare correspondence, reports and forms using a prescribed format.
- Prior analytical experience in a role within the asset management or financial services field
- Demonstrated experience in advanced spreadsheet applications. Includes extensive modeling of multiple business units and/or various financial products.
