The Finance Manager is a key role on the Universal Studio Group (USG) FP&A team and will be responsible for driving financial forecasting, reporting and analysis across the studio. This position partners with cross-divisional teams (including distribution finance teams, Studios, UTEG, and NBCU Corporate) to drive strategic decision making, streamline processes, and ensure accurate financial performance. This role will report to the Director of FP&A for USG.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Studio Delivery Volume Forecasting & Reporting
+ Lead forecasting and reporting processes for the USG's portfolio, including monthly presentations of production and delivery projections to senior finance executives.
+ Maintain and track key studio volume metrics to ensure accuracy and transparency.
+ Financial Modeling & Forecasting
+ Build and manage detailed license fee forecasting models in partnership with the USG Ultimates/FCF team and cross-divisional finance stakeholders (NBC/Cable/Peacock).
+ Support long-range planning through development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and five-year financial models.
+ OCF Management
+ Oversee the OCF pacing process by reviewing revenue and cost movements with distribution finance and USG Production/Ultimates teams.
+ Identify and communicate risks and opportunities, delivering clear updates to USG/Studios Finance leadership and the corporate FP&A team.
+ Manage OCF submissions, reporting, analytics, and scenario planning to support informed decision-making.

Basic Requirements:

You will assess the maturity of mission-critical Finance capabilities from a process and technology perspective and determine specific workflow, data, and system recommendations. Through a combination of a deep understanding of Finance end-to-end processes and technical expertise, you will perform system fit assessments to recommend the best solutions to meet business strategic objectives. You will be an important catalyst to guide thinking on the "art of the possible" and identifying solutions that anticipate future needs.

You will focus on understanding the dependencies and opportunities across Record to Report, Order to Cash, Source to Pay, and Plan to Perform to ensure we are building the capabilities required to move Netflix forward and support our complexity at scale. You are energized by complex problems and ambiguity, with experience breaking complex problems down into manageable parts and devising effective solutions.

This position is highly visible and requires collaborating with all levels of the organization and working with global teams across functions. This is not a technical delivery role - while you will partner closely with engineering, your role is to act as an advisor to the business on how to best leverage technology to meet business capability needs at scale. This is a hybrid position that can be based in either Los Angeles or Los Gatos and offers the flexibility to work remotely part-time. Occasional travel may be required to other office locations, including internationally.

Business Architecture and Business Systems Analysis

  • Be an advisor to the transformation plans Finance will launch by sharing experience and ideas on what the art of possible is to transform the impact of the Finance team
  • Map systems to Finance business capabilities across all end-to-end processes to proactively identify gaps and consolidation opportunities
  • Drive standardization of processes and tools to simplify the technical landscape and lay the foundation for further automation
  • Proactively identify capability gaps and influence prioritization
  • Increase the overall maturity of Finance capabilities by encouraging leveraging cloud-based and paved-path solutions to enable business transformation
  • Diagnose root problems and recommend end-to-end solutions that leverage the power of robotic process automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence / GenAI to reinvent and accelerate our work

**Stakeholder Management & Business Engagement **

  • Drive Digital Transformation by engaging with Finance leaders across business verticals and various geographies to understand business needs and recommend the best digital solutions
  • Influence policy and process decisions to effectively utilize systems and applications without customization
  • Manage conflict and negotiation between teams and across organizational lines to promote the most effective and consistent global solutions
  • Work with teams outside of Finance to understand upstream and downstream data and system impacts and influence positive change of end-to-end processes
  • Drive process optimization, capability architecture, scalability, optimization and automation of processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (finance or information systems desired)
  • 10+ years in progressive business systems analysis and technology transformation roles
  • Deep understanding of technologies leveraged across FP&A, accounting, billing, tax, procurement, payroll, treasury, etc. (Workday, Anaplan, HighRadius, Blackline, etc.)
  • Experience building, implementing, and measuring the success of Finance business systems roadmaps
  • Experience with finance transformation and process improvement using leading-edge technologies
  • Experience implementing cloud-based solutions in a global environment
  • Experience implementing systems in the Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and FP&A areas
  • Media and entertainment-specific process and technology experience is a plus

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $470,000.

Key Responsibilities

As the Solutions Lead for the Finance workstream, you will be the technical authority overseeing delivery from design through hypercare. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Solutions Architecture: Serve as the Solutions Lead for the end-to-end technical delivery of high-quality SAP-enabled solutions, including core SAP S/4HANA, MDG, BW4HANA, SAC, and integrated applications (e.g., Blackline, Open Text VIM, Taulia).
  • Design & Governance: Lead detailed design activities, review and approve the System Integrator's (SI) technical documentation (FSD/TSD, BCD, PDD), and ensure all custom development (RICEFWs) meets our cloud-compliant S/4HANA architecture principles.
  • Agile Delivery: Provide critical inputs to SI sprint planning in a Product Oriented Delivery (POD) based hybrid Agile methodology, ensuring features map correctly to user stories and epics.
  • Collaboration: Act as a critical bridge between internal partners, business stakeholders, and the System Integrator, ensuring the build accurately reflects the detailed design.
  • Configuration & Quality: Review and approve SI's build configurations, assist with necessary configurations, and ensure high-quality deliverables traceable to requirements.
  • Deployment & Support: Support the planning and execution of all test cycles (SIT/UAT), participate in cutovers, manage go-live events, and provide technical triage during post-implementation hypercare.
  • Risk Management: Proactively anticipate, raise, and mitigate technical risks and issues impacting project scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct thorough knowledge transfer sessions for IT Operations and Support teams to ensure sustained operational continuity.
Required Skills and Attributes
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience delivering large-scale SAP Finance transformation programs in SAP S/4HANA. Recent experience with RISE in a private cloud environment utilizing SAP's Activate or a hybrid Agile methodology is highly desired.
  • Expert-level skill set and end-to-end process experience in SAP FI/CO/TR/PS, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Management Accounting, Close/Consolidations, Project Systems, and Cash Management.
  • Cross-functional knowledge in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) or Plant Maintenance (PM) is required.
  • Proven experience in SAP BTP and/or Cloud ABAP programming in S/4, with previous required experience programming RICEFW objects in SAP ECC.
Application & Analytics Knowledge
  • Implementation experience or functional knowledge of three or more Finance-related applications such as Blackline, OneSource Global Next, Open Text Vendor Invoice Management, Taulia, Power Plan, or Tagetik.
  • Working knowledge of SAP BW4HANA, Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with project documentation tools like SAP Cloud ALM and business process management tools like SAP Signavio.
Soft Skills & Education
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and proven ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical business audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, or a related field. SAP S/4HANA certification is welcome.

Job Description
Summary:
The Manager, Finance is an integral member of the NBCUniversal Consumer Products Financial Planning & Analysis team, responsible for providing operational and financial support to the Consumer Products Business Unit. The primary focus will be to consolidate financial planning and analysis of the Global Consumer Products business across Revenue and Direct Cost of Sales. The qualified candidate must be able to multi-task and balance priorities on competing initiatives.

Salary range: $95,000 - $125,000 (bonus eligible)
Responsibilities include:
+ Subject Matter Expert for Global direct cost of sales spending and primarily partnering with the Global Franchise Strategy, Global Product Development and Global Franchise Creative teams. Evaluate ROI and identify opportunities to optimize spend
+ Prepare and lead all cost related aspects/meetings for annual budget, quarterly forecasts & close cycles, monthly pacing, long range planning with Global and Regional FP&A teams including actualization, project analysis and evaluation of investment
+ Prepare Global Cost decks and own variance analysis for Executive review
+ Approve Purchase Orders, create & maintain WBSE codes, actualize costs in the models, work with Controllership on accruals, closing and other ad hoc requests (e.g allocations etc.)
+ Create and maintain historical cost data files and dashboards that deliver real time visibility into cost performance and cost trending analysis that provides compelling insights to leadership
+ Lead on Agent Commission Forecasting and Actualization
+ Support Finance Director with Global Consumer Products P&L consolidations during financial cycles across Forecast, Budget, Long Range Plan, Quarter-end close and pacing
+ Assist on areas of the Revenue Forecast providing commentary and insights for the global CP Lifestyle business
+ Own and manage 'Other Revenue', specifically GSF providing variance analysis and working with Controllership to confirm accuracy
+ Contribute to continuous improvement, driving automation, process simplification and adoption of modern financial tools
+ Lead/assist with special projects and other duties as assigned/ Ad Hoc reporting and analysis
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field
+ Minimum 5 years' experience in finance and/or accounting
+ Cost management experience required (2+ years)
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience with SAP required
+ Power Query Experience essential
+ Ability to interact with all levels of management
