Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will assist in day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and managing payroll.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure accuracy and completeness of bank reconciliations.
2. Reconcile other financial accounts as necessary.
3. Process invoices, expense reports, payments and payroll in a timely manner.
4. Verify compliance with company policies and procedures.
5. Gather and prepare documentation for audits and financial assessments.
6. Support audit activities and respond to auditor inquiries.
7. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and records.
8. Develop and monitor budgets under the guidance of senior staff.
9. Generate and distribute client invoices promptly and accurately.
10. Follow up on outstanding invoices as needed.
11. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines when handling patient records and financial information.
12. Ensure accounts payable are processed and paid in a timely manner.
13. Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies.
14. Conduct collection calls and correspondence with customers as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. 1-3 years experience in Quickbooks software preferred.
2. Relevant experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
3. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Advanced attention to details and accuracy.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Knowledge of payroll procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Hours and days may vary depending on operational needs. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
