The Senior Financial Analyst supports the ongoing financial forecasting and develops financial models to support decision making related to business issues (e.g. new product development analysis, product portfolio analysis, expense/investment analysis, profitability of new opportunities, impacts of regulatory changes, capital analysis, revenue models and profit margin analysis). Responsible for managing inventory items and inventory operations. Looking for candidates local to Waco, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and develops drafts of annual plan, LRP and LBEs as required, including P&L, headcount, balance sheet, expenses and capital using planning system and incorporates review changes of both financial and operating management.
- Prepares variance analysis for each planning cycle and management reporting schedules under direction of Manager.
- Works directly with Accounting Shared Service contact on monthly close and financial reporting processes to ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly actual results, including variance analysis and commentary for P&L, headcount and balance sheet. Understands monthly results and communicates issues vs. benchmark to Manager to agree on resolution or action plan.
- Supports capital process, including RCE preparation and review in accordance with financial policies.
- Provides financial reviews and approvals (purchase order requests and invoices).
- Performs ad hoc analysis and forecasts for internal management team and external customers as requested.
- Works closely with other departments within AbbVie to ensure that strategic initiatives are achieved.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Preferred 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Execute priorities established by Manager with speed and agility.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient Excel skills required.
- Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.

- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
- We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
- This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Provides financial support to the Drug Manufacturing and Packaging Unit Managers.
- Supports annual manufacturing cost development cycle.
- Develops cost estimates for new products, extensions, and new business opportunities.
- Supports project initiatives and accounting for cost improvement initiatives.
- Prepares and develops accurate financial forecasts (LRP, Plan, Standards, LBE).
- Interacts with Business Units to ensure alignment on planning assumptions.
- Supports the month-end financial close process.
- Creates, updates, and maintains internal consolidation files for CADM and Corporate requirements.
- Presents financial data clearly and concisely.
- Performs various ad hoc analyses to support business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
- Preferred 4+ years of experience in Manufacturing Finance and/or Accounting.
- Ability to execute priorities with speed and agility.
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel; knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is a plus.
Additional Information
Salary range: $82,500 - $157,500. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and participation in incentive programs. Compensation depends on various factors including location.
