**Night Shift 9pm-6am, Monday-Friday**
**Position Summary:**
This role is responsible for ensuring on-time, safe and efficient delivery of product to customer locations. This is accomplished by scheduling and directing drivers to ensure department efficiency, on-time and safe delivery to retail customers, monitoring all routes for customer orders, analyzing delivery data and customer service levels and making appropriate adjustments to meet customer needs.
**Here's what you'll do:**
+ Understand labor scheduling process and work schedules to achieve maximum retail service within available DOT hours by making specific driver and tractor assignments.
+ Monitor driver logs for compliance with break times; partner cross-functionally on DOT compliance (i.e., DOT physical re-certifications, driver's license renewals, random drug screenings, paperwork completion).
+ Sort and route customer loads, same day and next day delivery as well as backhauls through the routing and scheduling software system.
+ Communicate with drivers and customers regarding concerns, delays, changes and resolve as necessary.
+ Assign daily work assignments and hold associates accountable to perform these activities in adherence with the labor contract.
+ Coach, counsel, and train associates on proper methods and procedures to ensure completion of the job in a satisfactory manner.
+ Document associate activities according to procedure and participate as necessary in the progressive discipline process.
+ Assist supervisor with union grievances, contractual adherence, and associate concerns.
+ Ensure daily and weekly reports are completed timely.
+ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for effectiveness.
+ Make recommendations to ensure financial and service goals are met.
+ Analyze customer delivery schedules working with cross functional teams to ensure the mostcost-efficient routes and load density goals are achieved.
+ Communicate and coordinate routing activities with customer service, MIS, dispatch, warehouse and customers as needed.
+ Work with customer service to coordinate special deliveries, add-ons, backhauls, store requests for delivery changes, transfers to and from locations, etc.
+ Ensure that all customer communication is logged timely and accurately.
+ Review all fleet equipment and person on-the-job injury accidents with supervisor and safety compliance manager.
+ Participate in investigations as required.
+ Complete and distribute reports and recommendations of findings, prevention and/or disciplinary action.
+ Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
**Here's what you'll need:**
+ Three years' experience in logistics/transportations/or supply chain operations.
+ Familiarity with dispatch software and on-board computers preferred.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.

+ Strong decision-making, problem solving and time management skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure with strict timelines.

This position works Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (morning, afternoon, & night shifts).
**Purpose:**
The Fleet Transportation Dispatcher - CDL will coordinate the activities of approximately 45 to 50 drivers on a daily basis. Keeping the pick-up and drop-off delivery times on schedule and ensuring an excellent customer satisfaction rating.
