JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Operate company and customer aircraft globally in compliance with FAA and ICAO regulations, and all local operating procedures. Maintain a thorough knowledge of appropriate aircraft models, systems, avionics, equipment, options, product changes and updates.
Attends training as required . Training will include: Initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures training, crew coordination training, international procedures training, and other training as deemed necessary by management.
Performs office tasks such as expense report and flight log preparation, international planning, aircraft flight manual and approach plate updates, and other tasks normally associated with day-to-day flight operations.
Conduct flights in furtherance of sales demonstration and marketing support. Adhere to and support Flight Operations policies, procedures, guidelines and responsibilities.
Communicate with and ensure department personnel are aware of noteworthy issues.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree required in Aviation Science or related field preferred. Or in lieu of degree a minimum of 5 years relative industry experience required .

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for managing daily flight operations as required by Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) INST 8210.1
+ Ensure compliance with DCMA 8210, flight and ground operations policies and procedures.

**Position Summary**
Acts as an Operational Specialist (OS) supporting program flight operations as an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Subject Matter Expert (SME) working in a small, close-knit crew environment providing expertise in support of mission requirements. Prime Air is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Flight Operations Coordinator, a key position within our innovative drone delivery hub operations. This role is essential for maintaining the highest levels of efficiency and operational excellence. The Flight Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations across all shifts by strategically assigning staff, balancing workloads, and planning break rotations meticulously. Beyond leading shifts, this individual is entrusted with the critical responsibility of addressing and resolving complex operational challenges, either through direct intervention or by guiding teams towards effective solutions.
Key job responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the effective and efficient operation of drone delivery hub operations during their shift, maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
- Demonstrate Ownership by taking accountability for shift outcomes, proactively resolving issues, and leading the team to meet or exceed operational goals.
- Monitor task execution and dive deep into multiple workflow data platforms to identify and correct imbalances or risks before they impact service.
- Serve as the primary escalation point on shift, using strong judgment to resolve complex issues and remove barriers that impact flight readiness, delivery, or safety.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and collaborate with management and other departments to implement effective solutions.
- Ensure timely and effective communication during shift handovers, cross-site updates, and daily stand-ups.
- Participate in or lead review meetings with the site team and Prime Air leadership.
This role requires the ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs., stand / walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
This role requires the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
This role may require travel, up to 25% of the time.
Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing.
