**Position Responsibilities**

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Manager, Supply Chain, supports corporate strategy by driving operational excellence in inventory management and supply planning improvements. Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement Systems and Supplier Management, this role ensures highly accurate inventory within the WS | MM North American branch network. The role involves developing and implementing inventory management processes and training to achieve world-class accuracy levels, leveraging SAP for planning and reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with accounting and finance to develop best practice cycle policies, procedures, and training for physical and cycle counts.
  • Schedule and ensure completion of physical inventory counts.
  • Work with Regional Materials Management Supervisors to ensure accurate inventory results and reconcile errors.
  • Coordinate with accounting and operations to align monthly branch material consumption with expectations.
  • Develop inventory forecast plans for input consumption and VAPS materials with stakeholders.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and consumption versus forecasts.
  • Manage aged inventory plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Oversee supply planning to support inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct training on inventory policies and SWIs at the field level.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Branch inventory record accuracy
  • Scrap rates by reason code to drive improvements
  • Forecast accuracy


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Maintain PP and MRP profiles to ensure the integrity of the SAP Production and Capacity modules are fully utilized.
Clearly and proactively communicate potential supply chain interruptions.
Cuts, TOTs, to the respective plant and supply chain parties. Interact with supplier as needed to include conference calls.
Must maintain SAP/DRP coverage profiles for direct materials/produced full goods for facilities within assigned area.
Work with Planner III and or project/brand manager on SAP material set-ups and sourcing changes for purchased products and new product launches.
Provides a daily deployment plan to entire network (which includes communicating with sister plants, 3rd party warehouses, trucking companies, potentially tanker companies and suppliers), related to shipping and receiving.
Communicate material changes and shortages to Operations (Operations Managers, Quality, Procurement)
In the event of prolonged shortages initiates the escalation process to meet business needs
Prioritizes the shuttle/inventory moving through the network, which includes analyzing the timing of production in order to bring materials into facilities for production.
The Planner II will need to analyze the weeks of supply to ensure adequate safety stocks are maintained.
Ensures that MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system is creating demand signals to drive supplier production plans. Helps the Planner III maintain master data settings.
Analyze new items and sunset of items for run-out of materials and ingredients
Run and review the product availability reports and ATP (available to promise) block resolution for finished goods
Conduct analysis to enable decision-making regarding costs to expedite, including review of loss sales
Manage SAP master data maintenance
Communicate and initiate commercialization to Operations team as it relates to materials
May have participation in Program Management team calls to ensure proper order of raw materials
May be involved in innovation planning meeting for product introductions

Required Skills:

    • Analyze historical usage and deployment data, trends, and seasonality to develop reliable short-term and long-term forecasts.
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather insights and adjust forecasts as necessary based on promotions, new product launches, or market changes. Build the process to standardize demand forecasting.
  • Supply Planning Alignment:
    • Work closely with the Procurement team to align demand forecasts with procurement schedules and inventory levels.
    • Support the identification of demand-supply imbalances and collaborate on solutions to mitigate stockouts or excess inventory. Participate in regular planning and sales meetings to provide insights and address potential issues related to demand-supply alignment.
    • Provide recommendations for adjustments to inventory policies based on demand knowledge and develop Min/Max recommendations at the corporate and inventory organization level for implementation by Inventory Management team.
  • Inventory and Warehouse Management Support:
    • Support or where appropriate, lead the implementation and execution of various corporate led inventory and warehouse management strategic activities such as Vendor Managed Inventory programs, outsourcing, etc. Support the supply planning team in ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
    • Provide inventory and warehouse management expertise to supply chain team and influence other stakeholders to implement strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    • Maintain and analyze demand and usage data to ensure the accuracy of forecasts and inventory levels.
    • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on forecast accuracy, demand trends, and inventory performance.
    • Develop and Identify forecasting, demand and accuracy key performance metrics and monitor the impact on supply chain performance.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve demand planning processes and systems, optimizing forecast accuracy and planning efficiency.
    • Assist in the development of best practices and tools for enhanced demand and supply coordination across procurement, inventory, warehousing and logistics
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain process design, as well as inventory and or warehouse management.
    • 2-4 years of experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) is a plus.
    • Knowledge of forecasting techniques, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Skills:

Job Summary:

We are searching for a Senior Supply Chain Planner based in Scottsdale, AZ. In this dynamic position the individual will lead supply planning for OEM Electronics, support the development of product line and regional inventory projections, as well as develop a variety of analytics either independently, in response to trends, root cause analysis, or ad hoc requests from the business.

This is a hybrid role based out of Scottsdale, AZ, however, consideration may be given to remote candidates.

Essential Functions:
  • Convert global demand forecast into an executable supply plan
  • Drive and execute monthly stock status meetings
  • Review potential supply shortages and communicate potential risk, potential solutions to mitigate risk, and quantify business impact. Analyze capacity constraints and provide recommendations to ensure forecast is supported
  • Support development and analysis of the rolling 12-18 month inventory forecast
  • Serve as the back-up to the Sr. Supply Chain Analyst who owns the Inventory Planning process
  • Analyze drivers of variances to inventory forecasts and result trends for reporting and incorporation into forecast updates
  • Lead Safety Stock quarterly alignment meetings across all regions and product lines
  • Gather and analyze data to improve forecasts and to achieve best-in class metrics
  • Gather data and analyze the data to clearly articulate findings and to make recommendations
  • Provide awareness to activities/trends that impact inventory and production planning and can quantify business risk
  • Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of proven experience of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and/or Inventory Planning
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Ability to work independently to analyze data; self-starter, curious and desire to get to the root cause
  • Experience with Data Science techniques
  • Working knowledge of Logility (or similar) planning software (ie. SAP, o9); SAP a plus
  • Strong PC skills with experience in Microsoft suite
  • Commercial and financial awareness and acumen
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work with cross-functional teams at multiple levels of the organization; ability to influence others and communicate with full transparency to build trust and credibility

Key Responsibilities:
+ Ensuring clear, proactive communication and coordination within internal teams throughout the estimating process to meet deadlines.
+ Managing supplier/subcontractor proposal coordination and administration with minimal oversight, ensuring pricing aligns with agreed-upon terms.

+ Handling supplier/subcontract documentation in line with company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
+ Assisting with contract negotiations and strategy development, leveraging cost and price data for subcontract terms.
+ Creating reports and presentations to summarize analyses and recommendations for management.
+ Collaborating with finance, engineering, and project management teams to understand technical requirements and cost implications.
+ Keeping abreast of market trends, cost drivers, and best practices in cost/price analysis.
+ Evaluating supplier performance and financial health to mitigate risks to project timelines, performance, and potential financial loss.
+ Recommending payment terms based on assessments of supplier financial health.
+ Being available to travel up to 25% as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, pricing, or a related field within the Defense Industry.
+ Proficiency with cost accounting standards and experience applying them in a government contracting environment.
+ Strong skills in financial analysis and data interpretation.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with cost modeling tools.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

**Job Summary:**
