Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, vital sign monitoring, patient communication, and collaboration with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient support.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification and state CNA License
- Compassionate and patient demeanor

- Ability to follow care plans and adhere to medication schedules.

How you make a difference
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic and specialized nursing care functions under the supervision of licensed nurses. They adhere to local and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure proper patient care. The Nursing Assistant collaborates with other healthcare team members and correctional officers to plan and implement patient care activities in a correctional setting. After a general orientation to medical-surgical and psychiatric patient care areas, they may also float between units to ensure adequate nursing staff for patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities

Provides basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, including assistance with ADLs, vital sign measurement, and accurate documentation of patient data.

Maintains professional behavior and prioritizes work flow to ensure completion of all assigned duties, while adhering to policies and procedures and promoting patient safety and confidentiality.

Collaborates with other members of the health care team, participates in staff meetings and training sessions, and notifies the licensed nurse of any patient concerns or issues.

Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing procedures and proficiently uses medical supplies and equipment, while also ensuring their proper storage and cleaning.

Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse, such as assisting with patient care in different units and participating in the orientation of new staff members.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Completion of training course for Nursing Assistants.

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.RADIOGRAPHER/MAMMOGRAPHERJob Description:Primary Responsibilities:Performs all aspects of Mammography to include screening, diagnostic, needle localization and other related imaging.Able to operate imaging equipment and other devices as appropriate.Positions patients to obtain anatomic information.Calculates exposure factors correctly to reduce radiation exposure to patients. Practices radiation protection for both patients and personnel.Evaluates radiographs for technical quality and uses sound judgement to take additional radiographs to better demonstrate pathology.Evaluates requisition for appropriate history and clinical information and seeks guidance on correct exam if questionable.Reports all equipment malfunctions and hazards to appropriate supervisor.Performs diagnostic mammography on a regularly scheduled basis and maintains competency in needle localization and/or stereotactic biopsy procedures.Interacts professionally and courteously with patients, co-workers, and medical staff. - To prepare and serve food in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and facility policies. Supervises food production and presentation.
- One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).
- Must be knowledgeable of dietary procedures.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agencies.
- Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people.

- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
- Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes.
- Assure resident meal trays are correct.
- Uses and teaches proper food handling techniques.
- Complete daily and scheduled cleaning.
- Dates, labels, & stores food properly.
- Assists in receiving and storing incoming food, supplies, etc.
- Makes menu substitutions as necessary and records these on designated form.
- Meets time schedule for meals and snacks.
- Reports all accidents/incidents to supervisor immediately.
- Reports all hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.
- Recommend to Supervisor the equipment and supply needs.
- Attends staff meetings, in-services etc. as scheduled.
- Supervises the Dietary Department in absence of Supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
