QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 0-2 years of experience using landscape maintenance equipment.

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Associate Degree or equivalent education and / or work experience and a minimum of 2 years in a mechanical / electrical position within critical facilities (preferably a data center, hospital, semi-conductor, or power plant) required.

  • Ability to do small engine and equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • 1-2 years of experience with general facility maintenance and repair work.

  • NFPA70E Certified during employment required.

  • OSHA 10 certification or the ability to obtain one after hire.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks like lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions

  • Ability to learn and use CMMS Work Order System.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to acquire a Secret Clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Primarily walking, standing, and bending with some sitting.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, visual and listening skills

  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required equipment as well as to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to climb ladders and work on raised platforms.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Data Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises.

  • Periodic exposure to weather elements (Heat & Cold)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to be part of the after-hours notification and escalation protocol.

  • Must wear Safety shoes, PPE and company provided uniform.

**Job Summary:** **EMCOR Government Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a** **General Maintenance Worker in Oklahoma City, OK** to perform grounds maintenance services to maintain or improve landscapes, as well as the building infrastructure. This role will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of the data center's outdoor landscaping, including tasks like planting, trimming, irrigation management, weed control, and overall groundskeeping, ensuring a clean and visually appealing environment while adhering to strict data center safety and cleanliness standards to meet the customer's needs. This role will also be responsible for a variety of tasks to maintain a critical facility, to include minor building repairs and maintenance tasks.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Proficiency in operating and maintaining lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, snowplow truck and other snow removal equipment efficiently and safely.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and maintain irrigation systems, perform sprinkler system maintenance, operation and repairs.
+ Remove yard debris and manage weed control.
+ Perform snow removal services, may be required to report during off hours.
+ Perform seasonal activities, such as fall cleanup and winter assignments, efficiently and safely.
+ Maintaining a high standard of appearance and cleanliness of all outdoor and indoor spaces.
+ Performs general maintenance and repair of building structures and their mechanical, electrical, or sanitary systems.
+ Performs general maintenance and repair of the establishment's machinery.
+ Respond to system generated work orders.
+ Evaluate and report to the Supervisor the need for appropriate contractors for repairs.
