**Global Marketing Director, Oncology**
**What you will do**

The Global Marketing Director is a critical role in the Global Marketing organization and has a significant impact in driving strategy & execution on products at all stages of the product lifecycle. For peri-launch products, the Global Marketing Director is responsible for maximizing the value of the asset within key indications, providing commercial guidance and vision, developing global launch strategies, anticipating lifecycle management opportunities to enhance the customer experience and competitive position, and optimizing the impact of marketing budgets.
The xaluritamig program is in late-stage development in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) following chemotherapy. It is also being studied in earlier disease settings within prostate cancer. Providing commercial leadership to the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are able to maximize our ability to expand patient impact with xaluritamig across the prostate cancer disease continuum.
This role will involve working closely with Amgen's program team, integrated brand team and brand working group selected local countries to integrate global cross-functional perspectives and local market insights into the commercial strategy for future xaluritamig launches. It will also involve working with leaders across oncology to leverage cross-functional insights and market learnings generated for other marketed products / peri-launch assets. In addition to the above responsibilities, this role will support broad strategic initiatives pertaining to the portfolio such as referral dynamics, tumor-level patient insights, patient centric development, journeys and preferences, and Patient Impact Expansion.
This role will report to the Global Marketing Lead for xaluritamig.
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Working with the Global Marketing Lead to gather deep insights into the customer, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers and develop a "gold standard" commercial strategy designed to optimize the future value of key indications for a peri-launch asset.
+ Serving as a key contributor to relevant Insights and Brand teams and global marketing activities for assigned brands. Ensure that all portal decisions are supported by a robust commercial assessment including but not limited to an understanding of portfolio fit and organizational impact.
+ Ensure all marketing deliverables for assigned brands are on time and of expected quality in alignment with Amgen's processes and requirements.   • Manage interactions with key opinion leaders, including focus groups, usability studies, cadaver labs, and initial clinical cases related to the products developed.
  • In close collaboration with the product, medical education, sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, and clinical teams, establish and continuously improve the syllabus, content, delivery model, and teaching faculty to deliver world class training programs for both internal and external audiences.
  • Understand competitive and emerging technologies and their impact on robotic surgery and the digital OR.
  • Lead the global launch of state-of-the-art hip stem products designed to gain market share
  • Oversee development and implementation of enabling technologies such as 3D pre-operative planning
  • Drive personalized care solutions that help surgeons plan procedures and predict patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with Robotics and Enabling technologies team to work within Launch Excellence frameworks for the upcoming launch of new hip robotics delivery systems within the next 12-18 months
  • Collaborate with Enabling Technologies team on integrated product solutions
  • Define high-level strategy for the global hips franchise
  • Drive global product planning, annual expense budgeting, and forecasting
  • Allocate franchise resources effectively
  • Conduct market research
  • Develop clinical and publication strategy planning
What will you need to be successful?
  • 7+ years of professional experience is required.
  • Upstream product management experience in the orthopedic / medical technology field.
  • Proven ability to effectively position, message, and negotiate product requirements with the engineering team.
  • Experience in the development of business cases, return on investment and key performance indicators for new products.
  • Direct team management experience is required.
  • Experience with surgical enabling technologies and/or robotics preferred
  • Strong understanding of surgeon needs and clinical workflows
  • Proven track record of cross-functional leadership
  • Global marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business or engineering discipline.
  • Ability to frame complex or ambiguous business opportunities in a simple, impactful manner for audiences of diverse backgrounds, including senior leaders and non-financial partners.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. This includes the ability to work well in bridging communication between engineering, marketing, sales, and customers.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and self-motivated.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Travel required (domestic and international) - 40%
  • Position may require attendance at surgical procedures

  • The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $58,000 - 195,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
