We are looking for a Government Programs Strategy Partner , who is intellectually curious, self-driven, and adaptable to join us in our Government Pricing and Reimbursement team. This position can be based in any of our United States offices in District of Columbia , Atlanta, Georgia, Raleigh, North Carolina or Boston, Massachusetts . This position can also be remote/virtual and is designed to specifically support Eastern time zones (standard hours of operations 8:30am ET to 5:00pm EST). Role will require up to 20% travel to existing UCB sites.

About the role
This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, federal and state laws and regulations, pharmaceutical compliance, and internal capabilities to ensure the company achieves its long-term goals and is crucial for strategic planning, forecasting, and negotiation activities. You will play a principal role in analysing, reporting and educating the broader UCB team on the insights that informs these scenarios. You will support the development, implementation, and oversight of the company's strategic plans for pharmaceutical government programs.

Who you'll work with
Internally, you will work with your colleagues in Government Pricing and Reimbursement, Contracts and Pricing, Market Access, Commercial, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Policy, IT and Communications. Externally, you will work with various consultants and auditors.

What you'll do

  • Support negotiation, implementation, compliance, and analysis of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Medicare Maximum Fair Price (MFP)
  • In coordination with Contract and Pricing Leads, evaluate strategies to mitigate IRA impact to product portfolio
  • Improve IRA Pipeline Forecast Model for accurate impact predictions
  • Identify viable options for Maximum Fair Price (MFP) implementation
  • Load data to state and federal portals
  • Create, maintain and enhance trackers and documentation aligned with role and company objectives
  • Research and analyze IRA's impact on market trends and stakeholder behaviors
  • Evaluate and document Bona Fide Service Fee compliance for all UCB contracts
  • Ensure compliance of State Price Transparency Reporting & Prescription Drug Affordability Board inquires
  • Develop and execute strategies for government programs like Medicaid, Medicare, VA, and 340B
  • Align company objectives with government program regulations and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal and state programs
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and best practices for business impact
  • Support government pricing calculations through data analysis and reporting

Minimum Education, Qualifications, Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field or comparable work experience
  • 8-10+ years of proven experience in strategic government compliance, planning, reporting and management within the pharmaceutical of healthare industry

Preferred Education, Qualifications, Skills

  • Master's Degree
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Strong knowledge of government program environment such as the Inflation Reduction Act, 340B Drug Pricing Program, state price transparency reporting, and bona fide service fee assessments
  • Proficiency in strategic planning tools and software, including Model N and SAP
  • Experience in managing compliance within pharmaceutical government programs

This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $136,000-178,500. The actual salary offered will consider related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.

    • Lead kickoff and quality review meetings
  • Participate in the planning, development and execution of marketing campaigns/ social media including:

    • Utilize market data to create and disseminate targeted messaging across multiple platforms
    • Research and analyze keywords, develop content, develop landing pages and track click-thru rates, conversion rates and overall ROI

  • Research, organize and prepare analytics/reports.
  • Coordinate public relations, advertising and other outside events (i.e. tradeshows) as required, which may require some travel.
  • Track and maintain internal group database of project descriptions, resumes, standard content, clients, subconsultants, contacts (i.e. CRM).
  • Coordinate and create divisional content for the website.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (marketing, communications, English, journalism, business administration or technical field)
  • 2 - 8 years of relevant experience, Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry experience preferred.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (experience with InDesign preferred)

What you'll do

As a Systems Integration Engineer in Viasat Government, you will become part of a team of skilled professionals dedicated to designing and developing Viasat's Remote Sensing Antenna Systems and Satellite Communication Terminals.

The day-to-day

You daily tasks will include the design and documentation of cabling interfaces between and within major subassemblies or antenna systems along with the selection of components included in them. You will perform basic network planning and setup activities. You will participate in customer design reviews, where you will describe the design solutions you have selected in accordance with customer requirements. You will be responsible for the preparation of test plans and procedures and conducting factory and site acceptance tests. You will also prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommend solutions to technical problems. The candidate will also advise the selection and set-up specialized test equipment to include BER, Group Delay, G/T or Servo Response testing. A strong mechanical background and experience with mechanical assembly is a plus, as you may also assist in the assembly of the mechanical structure of the antenna systems at Viasat and in the field. You will actively maintain good customer relations as the face of Viasat on sites.
  • Create documents using AutoCAD such as interconnects, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable drawings, etc.
  • Maintain an indentured drawing list that consists of components and equipment already defined
  • Structure a Bill of Material (BoM) for ordering parts as outlined in the indentured drawing list
  • Share the responsibility of lead during the integration and testing of an antenna system at the factory and customer site
  • Conduct system level testing such as G/T, EIRP, BERT, and servo dynamics, with support
What you'll need
  • 2+ years of experience in the design and/or assembly of RF systems, AC/DC circuits, Servo motor controls, and modem/baseband equipment and the cables that interconnect these devices
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related technical field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience configuring vendor equipment remote control interfaces to communicate over a local area network
  • Experience analyzing requirements, developing test plan/procedures and detailing test results
  • Familiar with AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT or similar CAD package for the creation of wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Experience in the operation of any of the following equipment: Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, and Network Analyzer
  • Able to work independently and solves sophisticated problems in remote locations with minimal assistance
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a United States Secret Clearance
