Job Purpose
HALO Ops Engineer is a critical position for the HALO Wind Tunnel, this person will be responsible to execute wind tunnel data acquisition and analysis, facility health monitoring, and quality process development, with the assistance of more senior engineers. Given the unique conditions of wind tunnel, including the small number of tunnels in the world, tight constraints and non-automotive 3rd party customers, this position will require a highly technical skill set. All of these are necessary to Develop HALO into highly efficient, world class test facility.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist with planning and scheduling of the following: Operations tools/equipment/consumables purchases, Equipment upgrades, and Process upgrades.
- Working with Operations Leadership, troubleshoot and isolate problems with aerodynamic and aeroacoustics test performance or data quality. Assist with the Creation and proposal of technical solutions to any problems found.
- Works with customers and staff to
understand test requirements and plans activities necessary to deliver the required test conditions. - Assist with investigations of data collection equipment capabilities and analysis methodologies utilizing systems integration strategies.
- Assist with the preparation of moderately complex facility and test operation procedures, coordination of facility procedure and work instructions training, under the guidance of more senior engineers.
- Facilities Support: When available, assist HALO Facilities Team in order to gain an overall understanding of how the tunnel works to improve associate knowledge for the required tasks above.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerodynamic, or Related Engineering
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, Co-op experience preferred
- Experience with MTS Rolling Road Systems, Siemens Acoustic Test System, Cosworth Data Acquisition Systems
Working Conditions
- Normal physical requirements (lift up to 50lbs), mobility in and around operating equipment, work with general hand tools and required PPE, ability to work overtime as needed to complete tasks and meet deadlines

About this Position:
The Technical Sr. Project Manager is a key member of an agile team and is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team by ensuring that the team backlog and priority is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. As a member of the extended Product Management function, the PO is the team’s primary customer advocate and primary link to business users and product roadmap. Job Purpose
This is an entry level position to support the team to perform Offline Programming (OLP) utilizing simulation software and robotics knowledge to reduce new model introduction time. They will be responsible to support the team to minimize the negative impact to current model production while reducing online robot programming time for new model activity. The primary tools this position uses are robotic simulation, cycle time estimations and validating tooling design in the 3D CAD/CAE environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute new model offline simulation for individual process and tooling clearance checks, cycle time validation, and robot program download under the assistance of a mentor.
- Communicate with Engineering, Mechanical Design and Electrical Design on changes needed in order to successfully install Off Line Programming.
- Validate current production cycle time and troubleshoot countermeasures for improvement.
- Support online teach team consisting of internal and contract resources at a process level for Off Line Programming implementation and cycle time verification.
- Support of overall unit initiatives and support group level business plan goals.
- Create deliverables for Off Line Programming install or handoff to supplier.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Robotics/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Welding/or Engineering Technology or an associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- 0 – 6 years of experience in robot simulation and/or robot programming, based on education.
- Off-line programming experience or experience with Fanuc and/or Yaskawa Motoman robotic programming
- Experience with Siemens Process Simulate software is preferred.

Job Purpose:
The associate works with and/or may lead a diverse materials research team in coordinating/performing a full range of materials research, R-Theme project and work request activities relevant to departmental and organizational needs including Technical Pre-Investigation (TPI) in area of specialty, R-Theme project management, complex failure analysis testing and test development/execution support. Key Accountabilities:
- Applies engineering principles/experiences and extensive knowledge and understanding of Honda vehicle designs/functionality to ensure new material technology sensing in area of specialty is comprehensively conducted using various methods of investigation including on-line investigation, networking with local and overseas colleagues, and collaborating with material and part suppliers to gather/analyze technological data, determine feasibility, and present findings to technical management.
- May act as Large Project Leader (LPL), Assistant Large Project Leader (ALPL) or Project Leader (PL) for assigned research projects, creating/managing project resources, overseeing/maintaining overall project schedule/budget/direction/progress including coordinating project targets with management, managing project work output of PLs and PICs, creating/updating material specifications and providing assistance or mentoring to PLs and PICs to ensure project quality/cost/specification targets are met.

Job Purpose
As a senior member of the Advanced CAE Department, you will be responsible to lead 1D CAE model and method creation related to electrical systems like wire harness and electrical control units in order to verify voltage drop and electrical load-balance as well as electrical device performance and power consumption. Proficient use of CAE contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead a small team to develop and validate new CAE methods for both specification setting and product verification.
- Lead collaboration and negotiation with test and part design engineers to understand the physical part and test procedures in order to accurately set the CAE model boundaries, constraints, and assumptions. Effectively present analysis and information to technical experts.
- Create documentation for the registration of CAE Models as a verified tool for specification setting and product verification.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- BS in mechanical or electrical engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
- BS and 6+ years engineering experience minimum. MS and 3+ years engineering experience or PhD and 0-2 years engineering experience.
- Expertise with 1D CAE such as Matlab/Simulink/Simscape, Ansys Twin Builder, Amesim. Also proficient with programming language software such as Python, and VBA.
- Extensive experience with creation of new CAE Models/Methods including performing verification and validation

Job purpose:
- Manages a portfolio of R&D projects using applied scientific and engineering principles in the area of advanced engineering and manufacturing technologies with both internal and external partners. Job Purpose
As a senior member of the CAE Methods Department, you will be responsible to lead CAE method and process creation related to AL/ML for structural based CAE like strength, reliability, NVH, and crash worthiness. Proficient use of CAE contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead a small team to develop and validate new CAE methods in the areas of AI/ML application to structural CAE problems.
- Lead collaboration with other CAE engineers to understand and document existing processes and requirements in order to accurately create the necessary AI/ML CAE methods. Effectively present analysis and information to technical experts.
- Create documentation that clearly explains the requirements, assumptions, setup, process, validation, and outputs of developed methods. Also clearly document the value added with the established method
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- BS in mechanical engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience
- Expertise with CAE software such as modeFRONTIER , and iSight to perform optimization and DOE studies. Familiarity with various CAE software such as Abaqus, Nastran, LS-Dyna, Hypermesh and Ansa are preferred. Also expertise with programming language software such as Python, Matlab, and Excel VBA.
- Understanding of Reduced Order Models (ROM), Response Surface Models (RSM), and Neural Networks.
- Extensive experience with creation of new CAE Methods and performing verification and validation.
- Ability to breakdown complex concepts into simple summaries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily conducted at an office desk. Some time is spent at test facilities for collaboration.
- Hybrid (office/home) work is available.
- Travel and overtime are occasionally required.

Job Purpose
The ADAS Development Senior Principal Engineer will perform the role of a Technical Expert and is responsible for defining technical processes, concepts and requirements as well as reviewing/judging the completeness of all technical-related work products within their subject matter area(s). Technical Experts will also support the creation and development of technical strategies or supplier capability assessments together with Technical Leaders. The Technical Expert will be responsible for 1 or more components within the following areas: PADAS ECU, MPU ECU, and Elite ECU. They will be responsible for hardware and software development. The main software responsibilities are related to diagnostics regulation compliance and cyber security. The objective for the Technical Expert is to ensure clear development processes for all technical work items are established, product development is performed and results are verified using the established criteria, and that all technical deliverables meet the company criteria for performance, safety, quality, and reliability at each step within the automobile development process.
Key Accountabilities
- Technical Item Judgment: Review all technical work products made by engineers within expertise area and evaluate them according to established company standards or subject matter-specific criteria.
- Utilizes knowledge within subject-matter expertise area to evaluate results of concepts, specifications, or test results.
- Assigns homework for any deficient items, supports other engineers in understanding requirements or best practices, and follows up on incomplete items to maintain the development schedule.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; and/or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of related experience in a similar role.
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- Ability to cultivate and manage relationships of varying levels in/out of the organization, including with suppliers.
- Strong technical aptitude in all areas of product development including electrical hardware, software, testing and project management areas.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Solid quantitative/analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Computer skills, both technical and non-technical such as Vector CANalyzer, ETAS Inca, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.
- Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and work independently.

Working Conditions
- Commitment to work necessary work hours to achieve all responsibilities, including overtime and operating periodically at early and late day hours with typical overtime ~6h/wk is expected

Job Purpose
Serve as a N.A. Senior Regional Reliability Engineer within the Reliability Group of the Production Engineering Busines Unit (PEBU) Equipment Reliability and Stability Dept. (ERS) responsible for assisting in the development and execution of reliability strategies, processes, and methods for local sites (plants) to use to ensure the total cost of ownership (TCO) viewpoint is captured and equipment is maintained at the economic optimum.
Key Accountabilities
- Help develop and execute methods and processes for Reliability Engineering and asset management strategies for new and existing equipment. Analyze equipment design from an engineering and maintenance perspective to identify failure modes/mitigate risk and suggest Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans and Spare Parts requirements to achieve the economic optimum
- Analyze data from an equipment’s running condition and understand the root cause of any deficiencies from an equipment, process, or maintenance viewpoint. Execute implementation strategy with the help of regional/local reliability engineers. Make engineering assumptions as needed to fill in missing data gaps. Utilize engineering judgment to decide the best solution considering the economic optimum.
- Assist in development and delivery of Reliability Engineering processes and methods workshops to teach the methods and processes using the tools available at Honda
- Work effectively within the Production Engineering team in the use of the tools, methods, and processes to evaluate Production Equipment performance and design
- Benchmark best practices in Reliability Engineering and incorporate into the processes and methods that will be used at Hond
- Generate Maximo Change Requests to align Maximo to support the Reliability Engineering processes and methods to make a sustainable data driven too
- Support the development and execution of Business Planning process and budgeting for Reliability Engineering Process and Method
- Present improvement proposals, process, and method changes to the ERS Committee meeting for feedback, support, and consensus
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related equivalent experience
- 3+ years of technical/engineering work experience in Manufacturing (focus in specialized area a plus)
