As a Sr. Compensation Consultant, you will be responsible for providing Compensation consulting services for WW Grocery Stores org within Amazon Stores. The incumbent will work directly with PXT Partners and Management to achieve reward system objectives and assist, as needed, in variable incentive compensation plan design consultation.
The successful candidate will proactively partner with client-facing PXT Partners and Business Line Management to identify and address compensation issues, and evangelize Amazons Total Compensation Philosophy and Strategy to the clients supported. This position is expected to represent the clients point-of-view in key corporate compensation initiatives and the corporate point-of-view with client groups. We are looking for candidates who have the aptitude to understand our complex data, and be detailed and accurate from start to finish in developing programs and completing projects.
This role can sit in Seattle, Arlington or Austin.
Key job responsibilities
- Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives.
- Effectively partner with HR and Business client to manage, consult, and resolve compensation issues
- Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay and stock compensation.
- Partner with the business to develop variable incentive compensation programs, as needed.
- Conduct job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation.
- Conduct custom surveys with key industry contacts, as needed.
- Partner with regional compensation (globally) on compensation issues, and work on a variety of special compensation projects as needed.
- The position may also be responsible for components such as the strategy, design, policies, guidelines, and operationalization of a key concept critical to the foundation of a specific compensation program. Works to gain alignment with different constituencies and represents a common point of view across multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree
- Highly proficient in Excel and BI dashboards
- 7+ years experience in finance, compensation, or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices
- Experience with building job and compensation structures.
- Highly analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, doing and auditing work.
- Highly detailed driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.
- Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data.
- The ability to work independently, take on responsibility and be quick of foot in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
- Solid consultation skills and the ability to seek out information and provide quality advice.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal presentations that demonstrate business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

Job DescriptionThe Retail Sales Lead Worker coordinates store operations, supporting and training the utility workers and cashiers. Assign the day?s work tasks to the Sales Associates and General Utility Workers; ensuring all preparations are completed in advance for the day ahead and that the team is on task for delivering superior guest service. Retail Sales Lead Workers are expected to serve as an example for the Retail Workers and General Utility Workers to aspire to; continually going above and beyond, delivering outstanding customer service, and successfully resolving any guest situations that may arise. Furthermore, they will maintain a professional and enthusiastic atmosphere even in the absence of management.COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 to $19.50. Train Sales Associates and General Utility Workers in their role helping to develop a team of customer service focused professionals? Ensure everything operates smoothly in the manager?s absence and that all customer relations issues are handled effectively? Respond directly to all customer complaints and ensure they are resolved efficiently and immediately in a professional manner? Keep an inventory of stock, noting any out-of-stock items or possible shortages? Order merchandise and other items in appropriate quantities from warehouse and vendors to meet demand? May be required to complete monthly safety inspections and file incident and injury reports on an ongoing basis? Must always ensure cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere store? Collect and compile daily cash and sales data from all outlets using Microsoft Excel and various Point of Sales and Property Management System software programs? Lead all aspects of nightly close out and balance cash with daily sales at the end of the shift? May perform nightly audit of cashier documentation? Retail Leads assist management in scheduling all employees in accordance with labor budgets and assigning work tasks to the Sales Associates and General Utility Workers? May assist with hiring General Utility Workers and Sales Associates?
