Join our dynamic team as a Lead Retail Sales Worker! In this pivotal role, you'll coordinate store operations while training and supporting our dedicated utility workers and cashiers. Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $28.00.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Sales Associate and General Utility Worker duties.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to prepare the team for daily tasks and guest interactions.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource about the surrounding areas for all guests.
• Ensure all guests receive a warm greeting upon entering the store.
• Train and develop Sales Associates and General Utility Workers focused on exceptional customer service.
• Maintain efficient operations during management's absence and handle customer relations issues professionally.
• Address customer complaints promptly and effectively.
• Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to avoid shortages.
• Order necessary merchandise and supplies from warehouse and vendors as needed.
• Conduct monthly safety inspections and complete incident reports as required.
• Ensure the store is clean and a pleasant shopping atmosphere is maintained.
• Compile daily cash and sales data using Microsoft Excel and POS systems.
• Lead closing procedures, balancing cash with daily sales.
• Assist with employee scheduling and task assignments in alignment with labor budgets.
• Support the hiring process for utility workers and sales associates.
• Oversee payroll submissions for accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail experience is preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills for sales reporting and audits.
• Must be of legal age to work with alcohol; certification in responsible alcohol training required where applicable.
• Flexibility to work a rotational schedule including weekends and holidays is essential.
• Fluency in the native language, both spoken and written, is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs is necessary.
• Ability to operate various equipment including photocopiers, vacuums, calculators, printers, and POS systems.

Ensure all guests are greeted when they walk into the store

Train Sales Associates and General Utility Workers in their role helping to develop a team of customer service focused professionals

Ensure everything operates smoothly in the manager?s absence and that all customer relations issues are handled effectively

Respond directly to all customer complaints and ensure they are resolved efficiently and immediately in a professional manner

Keep an inventory of stock, noting any out-of-stock items or possible shortages

Order merchandise and other items in appropriate quantities from warehouse and vendors to meet demand

May be required to complete monthly safety inspections and file incident and injury reports on an ongoing basis

Must always ensure cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere store

Collect and compile daily cash and sales data from all outlets using Microsoft Excel and various Point of Sales and Property Management System software programs

Lead all aspects of nightly close out and balance cash with daily sales at the end of the shift

May perform nightly audit of cashier documentation

Retail Leads assist management in scheduling all employees in accordance with labor budgets and assigning work tasks to the Sales Associates and General Utility Workers

May assist with hiring General Utility Workers and Sales Associates

May be required to coordinate, correct, supervise and submit payroll for the department, ensuring accuracy, proper transfer of labor and timely weekly reporting
