The Tableau Developer/Health Information Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities to deliver affordable quality care to members through analysis of data and transforming business intelligence into action plans. Provides strategic recommendations for improving health care affordability to executives and professional clients.

How will you make an impact:

  • Collaborates with the data warehouse analysts in establishing business rules and monitoring adherence.

  • Translates data trends into strategic recommendations for program development and action plans.

  • Organizes and manages the staffing and workflow on major projects.

  • Provides business expertise regarding the appropriate use of data elements and cooperates with reporting personnel from other areas to establish and maintain these common business rules.

  • Develops and communicates action plans and assists in planning initiatives to address areas for improvement identified through data analysis and business expertise.

  • Collaborate with business users to define media, frequency and audience for distribution of information.

  • Evaluates and triages potential projects and studies based on the value, cost benefit analysis and the urgency of the request.

  • Manages projects through coordination and negotiation with internal and external clients in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Performs strategic data analysis and research to support business needs.

  • Develops detailed understanding of relevant business processes, goals and strategy.

  • Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

  • Make strategic recommendations to executives.

  • Providing consultation and making presentations are major parts of this job. Influences and negotiates with all levels of management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in analysis and reporting with a minimum of 2 years of broad-based practical business experience within a business unit, and experience in managed care and data analysis; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Understanding of multiple data sources and formats is strongly preferred.

  • Expert level spreadsheet and database skills is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.

  • Understanding and application of Excel functions and macro tools to help solve complex problems is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and oral and written communication skills are strongly preferred.

  • The ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels within the organization is strongly preferred. MA/MS degree in business, science, or health research preferred.

  • Federal Employee Program knowledge is preferred.

The **Tableau Developer/Health Information Manager** is responsible for identifying opportunities to deliver affordable quality care to members through analysis of data and transforming business intelligence into action plans. Provides strategic recommendations for improving health care affordability to executives and professional clients.

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in analysis and reporting with a minimum of 2 years of broad-based practical business experience within a business unit, and experience in managed care and data analysis; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
**Preferred Experience, Skills, and Capabilities:**
+ Understanding of multiple data sources and formats is strongly preferred.
+ Expert level spreadsheet and database skills is strongly preferred.
+ Excellent knowledge and understanding of standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.
+ Understanding and application of Excel functions and macro tools to help solve complex problems is strongly preferred.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and oral and written communication skills are strongly preferred.
+ The ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels within the organization is strongly preferred. MA/MS degree in business, science, or health research preferred.

Health Information Systems Manager (NextGen) Position Summary

The Health Information Systems Manager (NextGen) serves as a strategic leader and technical expert within the Health Information Technology (HIT) Team. This position plays a critical role in managing enterprise-level projects, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of the NextGen EHR system. Health Information Systems Manager (NextGen) Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management & Leadership

  • Lead EHR-related projects from inception through execution, including planning, stakeholder engagement, resource coordination, risk mitigation, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including timelines, goals, budgets, progress reports, and KPIs, ensuring transparency and accountability across teams.
  • Serve as project sponsor liaison, communicating effectively with leadership, vendors, clinical staff, and IT stakeholders to align system development with strategic organizational goals.
  • Supervise, mentor and guide team members, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development within the HIT team.

Technical & Operational Oversight

  • System Configuration and Implementation: Lead configuration and deployment efforts of the NextGen EHR system tailored to organizational workflows and regulatory requirements.

  • System Maintenance: Coordinate scheduled maintenance, version upgrades, and patches with the NextGen Core team, ensuring continuity and security of system operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a NextGen Administrator or similar role in a healthcare environment.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.

**This is an onsite position at Ascension Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.**

As our HIM Manager, you will oversee day-to-day supervision and management of the Health Information Management (HIM) department. This person will be responsible for the standardization and implementation of HIM tools and processes. Every day, you will keep abreast of changes in the HIM field to ensure that our R1 HIM teams lead the way with best-practice HIM operations. To thrive you must be willing to be onsite, certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with knowledge of health Information function and operation.
**Here's What You Can Expect**
+ You will need to maintain ongoing knowledge of current health information regulations to ensure that department performance aligns with productivity, quality, and compliance expectations.
+ As an expert user/administrator of Health Information technology systems, you will be responsible for ensuring proper functionality and addressing any issues. You may also lead or assist with system implementations and upgrades.
+ You will support the leadership and local administration by assessing, investigating, making recommendations, and following up on new technology, projects, goals, targets, and business initiatives.
**Required qualifications:**
+ Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
+ 3-5 years of operational HIM experience.
+ Expertise in Health Information functions and operations.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent analytical skills and people skills.
