**Healthcare Data Specialist**
**Location:** Norfolk, VA; Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Mason, OH; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO (preferred). This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The **Healthcare Data Specialist** is responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts.
**How you will make an impact:**
+ Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
+ Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
+ Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
+ Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
+ May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
+ May make recommendations based upon data analysis.
+ Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.
+ Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.
**Minimum requirements:**
+ Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
**Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:**
+ Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred.
+ Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills strongly preferred.
+ The ideal candidate will bring expertise in SQL, Python, R, PowerBI, or Alteryx, with a preference for those who have experience in healthcare data, particularly in claims, case management, or HEDIS data.
+ A strong grasp of statistics, modeling, and their practical applications will be beneficial.
+ This role demands the capability to research and resolve business and technical problems both independently and collaboratively, with a focus on supporting Quality and Clinical initiatives.
+ Effective communication skills are essential, as the candidate will need to interact with a wide range of audiences, from technical specialists to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Furthermore, the role involves developing and maintaining automated processes and streamlined analytics tools, ensuring they are both dynamic and repeatable.
+ Preference will be given to candidates with experience in HEDIS/Quality measures data analytics.
