As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client's healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observe and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity
+ Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, blocked entryways, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals
+ Orally and physically de-escalating individuals, as needed
+ Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment
+ Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance to the facility
+ Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency
+ May also include patient escort, patient watch, provide safety escort, assist and/or transport deceased to morgue
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Job Description

This Project Manager will be responsible for:
  • Develop, monitor and maintain a project schedule in a collaborative manner by gathering input from the project team during both Pre-construction and construction using Lean principles as appropriate
  • Secure all required permitting as needed and set up proper protocols to ensure all required inspections are scheduled, documented and ultimately approved.
  • Lead the effort in the on-boarding and contract negotiations with trade partners and 3rd party vendors and ensure that the buyout is in alignment with the project budget.
  • Work with the Pre-construction team, architects, engineers and trade partners to coordinate the BIM and oversee any conflict resolution.
  • Effectively communicate the project status to client and to company leadership using detailed project reporting related to budget, schedule, quality, safety and changes on the project.
  • Conduct weekly OAC meetings and provide all required reports and documentation to ensure all stakeholders are informed of project status and potential issues.
  • Conduct coordination meetings with all trades, vendors and key personnel on a weekly basis.
  • Provide monthly invoices and oversee all documentation and approvals needed to ensure timely funding for the project and subsequent payment to trade partners and vendors.
  • Work closely with the client, architect and engineers to control and manage any change in scope and provide all impacts and documentation of such to allow for a timely decision to be made, such as cost, schedule and quality implications and obtain the Owner's approval.
  • Oversee the performance and quality of inspections throughout the project to eliminate the need for re-work and lead the effort to close out the project through proper punch list protocols.
  • Collaboratively work with the project superintendent, trade partners and client to develop and enforce a project safety plan.
  • Assist with the documentation of project scope and the plan development and verify that the design meets the contractual obligation on a periodic basis.
  • Provide technical assistance in the selection of other partners, subcontractors and suppliers required to complete the project
  • Oversee the design documents and ensure that version control is always maintained with all members of the team.
  • Collaborate on the creation of project phasing plans with project team and align with schedule and estimated costs.
  • Participate as needed to support the business development effort in project pursuits, including participation in strategic planning sessions and interview process.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, and Architecture or equivalent
  • 3+ years project management experience, and senior project management experience.

  • True leadership experience managing teams, client management, goal setting and achieving.

  • Estimating experience is a plus.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Coordinate patient services and respond to a wide variety of patient requests for the International Patient including relationship management, appointments coordination, health system navigation, conflict resolution, intensive problem solving and risk mitigation, communications while assisting international patients and physicians, professional and administrative staff members.
+ Facilitate the coordination of care involving a broad spectrum of professional discipline, socioeconomic and cultural perspectives.
+ Assist international and limited English proficiency (LEP) patients and physicians or other healthcare workers by facilitating the communication process.
+ Interpret dialogue and written material from one language to another including interpreting patient histories, physician instructions to patient, and patient questions for physician, nurse-patient dialogue and conducting pre-operative or post-operative education.
+ Facilitate communication between providers and patients on the ramifications of accepting treatment or undergoing surgery.
+ Ensure that patients understand their illness, its treatment and their legal rights.
+ Interpret sensitive information to patients or their families including diagnosis of terminal or severe illness, death of a family member during treatment or surgery or information pertinent to ethnic, cultural or religious values, morals and customs.
+ Coordinate patient services, such as scheduling follow-up medical appointments and gathering patient medical reports, x-rays, etc.
+ Collaborate with caregivers to coordinate appropriate response to requests utilizing second language skills.
+ Work an on-call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays, etc.) to support patient needs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Five years of customer service experience.
+ Written and verbal fluency in one or more languages (English and Arabic).
+ Possess a valid state driver's license and automobile insurance coverage. The caregiver must obtain an Ohio license within 30 days of employment.
+ PC and Microsoft proficiency.
+ Ability to interact with individuals and/or groups in a wide variety of highly sensitive and diplomatic situations.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's degree. This may substitute the experience requirement.
+ Healthcare experience.
+ One year of professional interpreting experience.
+ Experience maintaining confidentiality and performing complaint resolution.
+ Knowledge of medical terminology.
