We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Healthcare Team
- Actively participate in the marketing and business development processes; create and monitor marketing and business development plans
- Prepare strategic plans for practice success and establish, communicate, and execute a vision for the market practice
- Represent Firm at practice market's professional and trade organizations
- Ensure practice organization, operation, and direction aligns with Firm and practices strategic plans
- Foster an environment of learning, collaboration, innovation, professional development, and communication
- Review and advocate for individual practice team members' professional development plans
- Take responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction and for managing all aspects of multiple small to large complex projects
- Prepare design and proposal / presentation materials, estimate fees, determine scope of work
- Conduct code research and analysis and review with various agencies for approval
- Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors and/or clients
- Ensure that the project meets environmental, safety, structural, zoning, and aesthetic standards
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs
- Coordinate all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned project
- Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs, project communications and documentation, office administrative tasks, and project team assignments
- Supervise and/or perform site observations, such as recording and reporting of existing conditions and construction progress
- Responsible for major design decisions, involving spatial, aesthetic elements, and detailing of materials
- Document the progression of a routine project through correspondence, memos, etc.
- Follow routine projects through approvals and construction. Initiate contact with client and town officials
- Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program
- Ability to provide business development for firm within practice expertise area
- 10+ years combined experience as a design professional and/or architect
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit
- Firm grasp of building technology fundamentals
- Thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes, and trends
- Excellent time management, organizational and written and verbal communication skills
- Master's Degree of Architecture
- Registered as a licensed architect
- Experience with Newforma Project Center and/or Newforma Project Analyzer
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam PDF Revu
- Additional relevant certifications indicating additional expertise such as for construction administration, interior design, LEED/Green Globes/sustainability, etc.
- Experience writing and editing specifications Write and edit specifications as assigned

The Supervisory Projects Engineer ensures safe, reliable, and a precisely controlled operating environment for direct patient care through management of a design and construction program to build and renovate hospital and support environments. Supervisory Project Engineers serve as experts in the design of the medical care environment, including all hospital building features, automated building management and environmental control systems, and critical utility systems, as well as the oversight of related construction including construction in and adjacent to operational healthcare environments. Supervisory Projects Engineers collaborate directly with the Chief of Engineering Service, executive leadership, medical staff, nursing staff, and other clinical personnel regarding the design of the environment for medical care. They manage construction projects. They ensure that all hospital design and construction projects comply with a multitude of accreditation and regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, those promulgated by the Joint Commission (TJC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In summary, Supervisory Project Engineers apply engineering concepts and methodologies to enhance the delivery of healthcare by providing a technologically advanced, safe, and reliable healthcare environment through design and construction. This position serves as a supervisor within Engineering Service with responsibility for the Projects Section at a multi-faceted and affiliated VA Medical Center, including outlying Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
Major Duties include but is not limited to:
The Supervisory Projects Engineer is a key engineering advisor reporting directly to the Chief of Engineering Service. The Supervisory Projects Engineer is a responsible leader and a member of the Engineering management team and is relied on for authoritative advice on all aspects of design and construction matters.
This position provides matrix management support and technical expert consultation to the Chief of Engineering Service for all issues relative to the areas listed above. The Supervisory Projects Engineer makes recommendations to the Chief of Engineering for final approval and has responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the Medical Center Design and Construction program and oversight. The Supervisory Projects Engineer collaborates with operations and program managers to ensure integrated goals and priorities for all projects are met. The Supervisory Projects Engineer also works closely with peers in other service lines to meet their project needs as internal customers and the needs of external customers as well.
This position is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, evaluating, and management processes for the Engineering Service Project Section that includes setting qualitative and quantitative standards.

Education.
(1) Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture. To be acceptable, the curriculum must be from a school with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Engineering Accreditation Commission (excludes engineering technology) or National Council of Architectural Registration Boards curriculum. Examples of acceptable engineering and architectural degrees include, but are not limited to: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Architectural Engineering. Titles may vary from educational institutions and change over time;
OR
(2) Evidence of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination with a bachelor's degree. Evidence can be in the form of an Engineering in Training certificate issued from any State, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico, or test results from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) identifying a passing score;
OR
Evidence of current professional registration or licensure as a Professional Engineer or Architect. Evidence of current professional registration or licensure can be from any State, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico
May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria).
Grade Determinations :
Experience . One year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) . In addition to meeting the experience requirements for this grade level, the candidate must fully demonstrate the following KSAs:
(a) Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural, civil and other engineering/architectural principles, practices and their applications as related to healthcare facilities.
(b) Knowledge related to the management of overall healthcare system resources, (i.e., finances, space, equipment, supplies, schedules and staffing).
(c) Skill in using effective communication in managing interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, executive leadership, labor representatives and managers.
(d) Skill in balancing multiple responsibilities, setting priorities, delegating tasks and projects, meeting multiple deadlines, analyzing complex organizational problems and developing and implementing effective solutions that result in efficient operations.
(e) Skill in applying considerable independent judgment to interpret broad or general national policies and guidelines and adapt/apply them to specific compliant programs at the local healthcare system.
(f) Skill in recognizing and assessing evolving scenarios, utilizing initiative, and self-directing and assigning resources to affect resolutions.
(g) Skill in complying with national internal and outside regulatory agency and organization (including, but not limited to TJC, OSHA, NFPA, etc.) regulations, requirements, guides, policies, procedures, directives, standards and general medical program requirements as they relate to healthcare engineering.
(h) Ability to anticipate, develop and implement strategies in meeting the healthcare system's short-term and long-term strategic goals in a highly fluid environment.
(i) Ability to interview candidates for positions, recommend appointments, advancements, or when appropriate, disciplinary actions; evaluate performance and identify continuing education and training needs.

Physical Requirements: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, training rooms, and libraries. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The incumbent must also work outdoors in all types of weather. There may be occasional exposure to moderate risks or discomforts in storage areas or hazardous waste sites. Work is also done in an asbestos containing environment. Operations

+ Ensures the use of all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy in conjunction with state and federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions. The Product Review/Retail Fill Process Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that elements of Good Faith are present.
Training & Personal Development
+ Maintains current knowledge and required licensing/credentialing/certification as established by federal and state regulations to provide such clinical services.
+ Maintains current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare by reading pharmacy related journals, company publications, and communications. Maintains awareness of developments in retail and management and pursues best practices that would enhance performance.
+ Obtains necessary certifications, education credits and training, including learning modules, as required by the Company.

**Job Summary** **:**
Responsible for daily operational management of the proprietary Roper St. Francis Healthcare (RSFH) Security Officers system-wide. Serves as the primary immediate supervisor for the coordination for the new hire interview process, hiring procedures, filing, and maintaining of all on-boarding documentation, Joint Commission compliance folders, annual training coordination with the Security Program Trainer as well as all South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) requirements and documentation. Serves as a liaison for the security function, access operations, screening functions and anything visitor management related. Assists with the identification, evaluation, and development of strategies for the Security program to comply with all regulatory requirements and identified industry best practices. Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of procedures for mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery, and continuity of business from a security perspective. Assesses and evaluates potential threats and assists in the development of courses of action in concert with Risk Management, Safety and Legal. Assists with the management, coordination, and maintenance of security systems such as, but not limited to Access, monitoring, and alarms. Is the primary point of contact for the management of all functions related to the electronic visitor management system, to include all facets of system oversight, including supply ordering, maintenance, system upgrades, "red- flag" list maintenance and other elated duties as needed. Assists the security manager in responding to incidents and scenes that require security presence or security involvement.
**Minimum Qualifications** **:**
**Education and Experience:** Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or Business Administration and three years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or related field; or an associate degree with a minimum of four years' experience in security management, law enforcement, or related field; or High School Diploma/GED and seven years of related experience in security management, law enforcement, or related field.
**Licensure/Certification:** Law enforcement academy preferred. Instructor certifications in firearms and TASER preferred but not required.

**Knowledge/Skills:** Advance Law Enforcement Rapid Response preferred (active threat response). Ability to become SLED instructor certified.
**Other:**
