QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification/Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Have a valid Class A or B CDL with P & S endorsements
- Acceptable driving record
- Texas School Bus Driver Safety Training Certificate
- DOT Physical
- Minimum of 3 years of training experience (transportation field preferred)
- 3 years' experience as a certified school bus driver (preferred)
- Working knowledge of bus video software
- General knowledge of computer skills and procedures (Google forms, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Organizational skills with attention to detail

- Oversee Post Accident Trainings and work with district to oversee accident reviews

- Oversee investigations of Driver's Alerts report regarding employees
- Train drivers and attendants in bus evacuation techniques
- Provide suburban training and check-outs for District teachers and other staff
- Request video recording and duplication for archival and evidentiary purposes
- Lead investigations of driving complaints against department employees
- Drive or attend on a school bus as needed
- Complete state reporting for bus accident reporting system (BARS) as required by state

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Transportation Safety & Risk Manager to lead our safety and risk analytics initiatives within the trucking industry. - Leadership Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing 10+ direct reports. Proven ability to build, motivate, and scale teams.
- Data & Analytics Expertise: High proficiency in data science, business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and statistical analysis. Experience leading reporting and analytics teams is essential.
- Trucking Industry Experience: Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and trucking-specific risk/safety protocols.
- Familiarity with telematics, ELD data, and predictive risk modeling in transportation.

Zurich's Large Casualty Risk Engineering team is seeking a Sr Transportation Safety Risk Engineer to support the Large Casualty Underwriting Teams. This is a work from home role positioned within the U.S. with ability to travel up to 50%. This role includes a company car.
As a Sr Transportation Safety Risk Engineer, you will:
+ Serve as a subject matter resource for transportation safety within Casualty Risk Engineering.
+ Perform field engineering risk assessments and risk improvement services for prospect accounts and bound accounts. This may be done virtually but often requires travel where necessary.
+ Provide engineering support to underwriting teams and attend client/broker meetings as needed.
+ Manage account risk portfolio and provide account level engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
+ Provide advanced casualty consultative services to customers, identify exposures with significant loss potential, investigate cause/effect of major losses and review/assess casualty management program effectiveness.
+ Develop and implement customer service strategies that reduce losses and improve customer operations.
+ Monitor casualty account engineering services to ensure that delivery is proper, on-time, and cost effective.
+ Assist in marketing Zurich Resilience Solutions, and risk transfer insurance products in conjunction with underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.
