**Job Responsibilities**

New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college offering associate and bachelor's degree programs in downtown Brooklyn, invites applications for a full-time assistant professor position in the Department of Hospitality Management, to begin in the Fall 2025 semester.
The Department of Hospitality Management is recognized internationally as a premier hospitality management program. The department is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA) and offers both associate and bachelor's degrees.
Candidates should have a history of professional senior managerial experience in hotels and/or resorts, with a focus on revenue management and operations.
This is a full-time, tenure-track position. Faculty members are expected to be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarly research resulting in publications, presentations and/or other creative products; and sustained service to the Hospitality Management Department, the School of Professional Studies, the College and the University, in service of their missions. The position offers an opportunity to develop curriculum and pedagogy, engage with students, and contribute to the vitality of a dynamic and highly regarded department.
Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Hospitality Management, duties include but are not limited to:

Parity is a Remote HVAC Optimization as a Service company. We remotely control and optimize HVAC systems 24/7/365 to deliver automatic energy savings and revenue to multifamily residential buildings and hotels. Using advanced algorithms, Parity can predict the amount of energy needed ahead of time to operate a building to meet its occupants' demands and adapt the building's systems and machinery in real time. We save our customers:
- Time - we automate setpoint adjustments and demand response protocols. Our Pi (Parity Insights) dashboard provides early alerting services when things go down.
- Money - Parity contractually guarantees the savings that we expect to deliver to our multifamily customers. We also provide quarterly and annual energy savings reports.
- CO2 Emissions - we reduce a building’s emissions by optimizing its HVAC systems and reducing energy waste.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for an energetic and motivated Senior Account Manager ready to expand their sales career at the intersection of the property technology space and the quickly growing energy management industry. This individual will be focused on leading Parity’s growth in the hospitality sector. The primary objective will be to increase the company’s footprint with large hotels in the NYC metro area market. This individual will be presenting Parity at all levels of the sales process and will be responsible for conducting key sales activities including; prospecting, origination, proposal generation, customer facing presentation, and deal closing. We are looking for an individual who is excited to work in tech, real-estate, and has a passion for reducing CO2 emissions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Selling a guaranteed savings solution with a no upfront cost option for real estate operators to manage their energy consumption, reduce their carbon footprint, generate grid services revenue, maintain occupant comfort, and limit negative exposure to building performance standards and other energy-related local regulations.
- Managing the sales process from start to finish
- Maintaining a deep understanding of relevant energy and real estate related policies, programs, and market conditions in the NYC metro area.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of Parity’s service offerings and value proposition
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Conducting sales presentations to key personnel including property managers, board members, and other consultants
- Effectively positioning Parity’s unique value proposition utilizing financial metrics, consultative customer engagement, market positioning, domain expertise, and other means
- Working closely with Parity's engineers to develop proposals
- Developing and maintaining a sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, taking over existing accounts, and other means

- Coordinating with the marketing team on campaigns and other demand-generation activities
