Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment for high-demand roles across the company, focusing on production, quality, packaging, security, and branding teams. Key Responsibilities:
High-Volume Recruitment:
- Manage multiple requisitions simultaneously, focusing on filling high-demand roles such as production technicians, quality control inspectors, packaging associates, security guards, and brand ambassadors.
- Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies using online job boards, social media, industry networks, and employee referrals to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
- Maintain a strong candidate pipeline to meet the company's aggressive hiring needs.
Candidate Screening & Assessment:
- Conduct initial screenings and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide timely feedback throughout the hiring process.
- Utilize behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques to identify candidates with the right skills and attitudes for the cannabis industry.
- Represent candidates to the executive team, ensuring that top talent is accurately presented and aligned with the company's goals.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers on open positions, candidate pipelines, and recruitment challenges.
- Work closely with HR to ensure a smooth candidate experience from application to onboarding.
Recruitment Administration & Compliance:
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those in the cannabis industry.
- Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and prepare recruitment metrics reports such as time-to-fill and source effectiveness.
Employer Branding & Outreach:
- Contribute to the promotion of the company's employer brand, showcasing the benefits of working in the cannabis industry.
- Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, and community outreach initiatives to attract talent and build relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and professional organizations.
Continuous Improvement:

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, though relevant experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition is preferred, with an emphasis on high-volume recruitment and the ability to scale efforts in fast-paced environments. Experience in hospitality, customer service, or sales industries will also be considered.
- Proven experience interacting with individuals at various levels, along with the responsibility and confidence to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Experience within the cannabis industry or manufacturing sector is a plus but not required, as we value diverse, transferable skills from other industries.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with candidates and key stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluency with recruitment technology and tools, along with moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Overall Purpose
The Sr. Talent Coordinator performs a variety of recruitment functions to attract and align exceptional talent with business needs. This position ensures compliance with legal requirements and demonstrates continuous commitment to employee engagement. The Sr. Talent Coordinator will also oversee the onboarding function and serve as the administrator for new hire classes.
Essential Functions
Scheduling
- Schedules phone screens and interviews for recruiting staff and hiring teams.
- Prepares and communicates interview schedule and serves as primary point of contact for candidates and internal staff involved in the hiring process.
- Manages day-to-day feedback and operates as the main user for the automated scheduling system.
- Partner with candidates to coordinate and confirm travel logistics for onsite interviews, ensuring a smooth and timely booking process
- Manage travel coordination for new hire orientation, including sending guidance for booking, assisting with logistics, and confirming arrival to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Submit and manage all travel expenses for candidate's interviews, as applicable
- Coordinate conference room bookings for interviews, collaborating with, the administration community, IT and hiring managers to ensure space and technology needs are met,
- Liaison for Talent Acquisition in partnership with Security Services and administrative team on shared hiring need responsibilities
- Communicates and manages applicable updates to the internal travel SharePoint site
- Conducts a weekly new hire update call with key stakeholders.
- Prepares and sends background and drug screenings, including U.S. Treasury background checks, additional pre-employment requirements.
- Tracks receipt and completion throughout the background process and keeps recruiting staff abreast of status.
- Manages communication process on background clearances and start date updates to candidates and staff.
- Represents company in a highly professional manner and demonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Work cross functionally to resolve day-to-day issues and escalate when needed, ensuing smooth canidate experience and minimal disruption to the business
- Oversees the employee referral bonus program and administers payouts
- Responsible for administering and collecting results of the candidate experience survey
- Monitor EWS recruiting shared mailbox
- Conducts and records results of quarterly FCRA internal team audit
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5 or more years' of related experience in a HR support role or in a high volume administrative role in a professional environment
- Experience maintaining and utilizing various ATS systems (applicant tracking software).
- Knowledge of employment-related legal requirements
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
- High sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
- Must demonstrate professionalism, high level of customer service, and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Background and drug screen
- Experience with Workday applicant tracking software.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
- Experience conducting and responding to audits
- Prior immigration support experience
Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The base pay scale for this position in:
Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $29.00-$32.00 per hour.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
