The
Radiologic Technologist (RT)
works with Medical Providers and/or a Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
Job Description Responsible for x-ray services as needed o Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. o Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use. o Will need to push patient in a wheelchair Patient Registration o Conduct patient registration, which includes securing required paperwork and insurance documentation, and verification of insurance and patient eligibility. o Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments for assigned center o Coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist o Answer patient questions regarding their care and keep them informed of their status Patient Preparation and Rooming o Inform technical staff of patient flow. o Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm purpose of visit; o Perform preliminary physical test (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed. o Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to provider. Stocking o Responsible for stocking supplies and maintenance of exam rooms, front desk, and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies needed o Responsible for completing order sheets to maintain supply inventory levels; regularly check expiration dates on supplies. Administrative o Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files. o Answer phone calls, collect and sort daily incoming and outgoing postal correspondence o Ensure reception is well maintained o Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up on care o Perform opening and closing duties, which includes cashing out, end-of-day communication, and securing the building. o Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed.

Job Description
Under general supervision of licensed physicians and Radiology Supervisor, performs and /or assists in performing all routine radiologic and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. Sets up, adjusts, and operates x-ray equipment, selecting proper technical factors to obtain accurate diagnostic radiographs; properly positions and immobilizes patients. Responds to patients' needs as required. Maintains cleanliness of equipment and general working area, stocking clinical supplies. Ensures proper operation of x-ray equipment. Provides care to patients of all age groups in the form of diagnostic testing.
**Qualifications**
1. Job requires a minimum level of knowledge ordinarily acquired through completion of an Associates Degree or equivalent NYS-accredited training program in radiological technology in order to learn how to conduct skeletal, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary and chest examinations and familiarity with anatomy, physiology and biology. Special training required to conduct examinations for certain areas such as mammography.
2. Licensure by New York State Department of Health as Radiologic Technologist is mandatory. Certification required with ARRT (American Registry for Radiologic Technologists) for certain specialty examinations.
3. Prior work experience of six months is desired in order to gain familiarity on-the-job with administration of radiological testing. Should be familiar with most major models of radiological testing equipment. New x-ray technicians require period of 30 days in order to orient themselves to techniques and work area.
4. Good analytical skills necessary for handling of radiology patients during administration of diagnostic testing. Must be able to appropriately assess the correct action to take during testing, while being cognizant of patient well being. Must accurately monitor radiation exposure or potential for electronic shock, etc.
5. Good interpersonal manner important during delivery of patient care in order to ensure harmonious provision of radiological diagnostic examination.
6. Work requires manual dexterity for use of x-ray and other equipment and instruments. Light lifting of clinical supplies may be required. Adequate physical strength required for positioning of patients and equipment during examinations. Accurate positioning of patients is critical in order to ensure proper quality of radiological examination results and patient safety.
**Responsibilities**
1. Under supervision of physicians and Radiology Supervisor, prepared patients and examination areas in accordance with departmental policies and procedures for administration, as appropriate, of all routine skeletal, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and chest radiological and fluoroscopic diagnostic examinations. May prepare to perform mammograms and venograms in accordance with training and certification. Sets up, cleans and adjusts x-ray equipment. Loads film, takes x-rays and unloads and transports film if necessary. May develop images using appropriate methods and equipment including computed radiography or direct radiography systems. Observes radiation and equipment safety precautions both for equipment maintenance and patient and employee well being. Provides patient orientation prior to examination session. Assist Radiologist during procedures. Transport and use mobile x-ray equipment.
2. Under supervision, performs or assists in performing routine radiological and fluoroscopic diagnostic evaluations in accordance with established procedures and techniques. Operates and adjusts equipment, determining current settings and monitoring patient and employee radiation exposure and potential for electric shock; observes safety guidelines. Responds to patients' needs during testing. May assist in administering opaque media, loading power injector and handling catheters, guide wires and needles under aseptic technique. Records and codes all applicable examination results and completes all relevant medical documentation; properly labels images in accordance with defined procedures.
3. Document and track all exams into RIS-Radiology Information System. Archive all procedures into PACS, insuring completeness and accuracy of all information. May perform specialized diagnostic examinations as permitted by experience or registry.
4. Provides related support functions as required. Schedules examinations; initiates transportation; maintains examination files and statistics. May answer telephones for area and record messages. Maintains clean work area and equipment and maintains full stock of applicable clinical supplies. Properly prepares contrast media as needed.
5. Ensures good working order of equipment. Troubleshoots routine equipment problems or seeks technical assistance for equipment malfunctions, keeping supervisor (s) appropriately informed.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned or required as professional technologist. May assist with training and orientation of residents and clinical students from various departments and external institutions. May assist with quality assurance/CQI tasks under supervision.

Role Overview:
- Perform a variety of CT/ Bone Density and X-ray imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on patients of all age groups.
- Bone Density will be taught and training provided onsite.
- Operate CT scanners and associated equipment safely and in accordance with established policies and practices.

Job Description:Per Diem CT Technologist - Breast and Imaging Center
Join our Radiology team at BAIC ! We are seeking a Per Diem CT Technologist at our freestanding outpatient facility located in NY, NY.
Role Overview:
- Perform a variety of CT/ Bone Density and X-ray imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on patients of all age groups.
- Bone Density will be taught and training provided onsite.
- Operate CT scanners and associated equipment safely and in accordance with established policies and practices.
- Explain procedures to patients, monitoring for patient safety and comfort, administering contrast (IV and/or Oral).
- Conduct imaging in accordance to established protocols and quality standards.
- Enter complete and accurate documentation into all MSK/Radiology systems.
- Perform general radiology procedures.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree / Certified Vocational Training or Graduate of a 2 yr AMA approved Radiology school.
- ARRT in Radiography and CT
- Minimum 2 yrs experience in CT preferred and operating GE systems.
- NYS Department of Health License in Diagnostic Radiography, IV Certification
